MISSION STATEMENT
We help families thrive by efficiently
procuring and distributing food and
essentials to the hungry through our
programs and partner agencies.

GOALS
1 in 7 Colorado neighbors struggle
to put food on the table and need
continues to remain high, especially
among working poor families and
those living on fixed incomes.
Last year, we distributed nearly 44
million meals through our partner
agencies – food pantries, soup
kitchens, shelters- and our direct
service programs - Mobile Pantry,
Kids Cafe, After School Snacks and
Totes of Hope™. That’s almost 54
million pounds of food.
Two-page spread
$4,350
But sadly it’s not enough for all our
neighbors living in poverty to receive
the help they need. With the support
of our partner agencies, generous
donors and volunteers, we hope
to distribute an additional 5 million
meals in the coming fiscal year and
increase the distribution to areas
most underserved.
Together, we can solve hunger™!

FUNDRAISING EVENTS
TASTE OF THE BRONCOS
June 2016
Join Food Bank of the Rockies and the Denver Broncos
for an evening of football-themed food, fun and fighting
hunger. Our inaugural event will took place in June, 2015
and we are looking forward to another event, date and
time TBD at this writing.
JOE AND DEBBIE SAKIC BRINGING HOPE
TO THE TABLE
Late Summer 2016
Help us end childhood hunger by attending this entertaining
evening of dining, performances and high-end auction items.
The event benefits Food Bank of the Rockies’ children’s
programs, including Kids Cafe, After School Snacks for
Tutoring and Totes of Hope™ - Children.
JOE SAKIC CELEBRITY CLASSIC GOLF
TOURNAMENT
Late Summer 2016
Enjoy breakfast, 18 holes of golf, dinner and a sports
memorabilia auction. The event is held at Sanctuary Golf
Course and sells out quickly.
SEPTEMBER IS HUNGER ACTION MONTH
Each September the community helps raise awareness
and funds for us through various events including the
Panerathon, 5K & 10K race. Wear orange on Thursday,
September 1 and learn about other ways to help all month.
Visit our website for upcoming activities.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Your gift of time makes a difference for hungry men, women
and children. Last year, volunteers gave 135,136 hours, the
equivalent of nearly 65 full time employees – we couldn’t do
what we do without them!
Food Bank of the Rockies offers opportunities for individuals
and groups of 2 - 100. Come to our warehouse and help us
fill orders, sort food, assemble USDA food boxes, cook meals
in our community kitchen and prepare Totes of Hope™. Our
mobile pantry program is also staffed by volunteers who help
with food distribution to clients. We occasionally have light
office duties and opportunities for volunteers to help with
special events.
GIVING OPPORTUNITIES
Food Bank of the Rockies always needs and greatly
appreciates contributions of funds, food and time. We’d also
like to show you how we fight hunger at our warehouse
and encourage your organization to schedule a tour of our
facilities and discuss plans for your giving event with our
experienced fundraising team.

Monetary Donations – $1 = 4 meals! 96 cents of every dollar
is used for food distribution programs! Monetary donations
are always needed and can be made by mail, in person, by
phone, text or through our secure website.
Food Donations – Donations of food from retailers, farmers
and distributors are welcome and needed. We accept large
and small quantities of fresh, frozen or non-perishable
goods. Contact our operations department to coordinate
your delivery or donation.
Giv e!
Community food drives are often the first thing people think
of when they want to help. While we encourage donations
of nutritious items you’ve previously purchased and no
longer want, instead of shopping on our behalf, please
consider donating the money you planned to spend directly
to the food bank. Through our distribution and food donor
network, we can distribute more than 5 pounds of food with
every dollar we receive, including perishable items like
fresh produce, fruit, meat and dairy.
Personal Fundraising and Virtual Food Drives –These
customizable, online donation pages are easy to set-up and
a great way to encourage co-workers, friends and family to
join your cause in addition to, or instead of a traditional food
drive. Virtual Food Drives and Personal Fundraising Pages
are perfect for corporations, individuals, groups, special
occasions and honoring loved ones. You can download
pictures, logos, share your thoughts and create your own
custom web page to help us fight hunger.
$1 = 4 meals!
Sponsorships – Sponsorships and cause marketing
opportunities are a great way to gain exposure for your
company while helping a worthy cause. Adopt a truck.
Purchase joint advertising. Sponsor an event. Host a
promotion. We have many options and are always looking
for businesses to partner with us. Visit our website to view
current opportunities and please contact us to learn more.
