emergency replacement of two rooftop HVAC
units which heat and cool the main floor of the
library. I am happy to note that the project was
completed successfully. Once our roof is watertight there will be repair work to sections of our
building that will have to be completed. The
water entering our facility has caused some
damage to our walls. Next we hope to re-carpet
the library for health and safety issues, as well as
work on better lighting throughout the building.
Many of our lights can no longer be repaired as
parts have become scarce.
Based on a facility study we conducted last
year we know that our boiler is original to our
1982 building. We will look to replace it with a
more energy efficient model in the future.
As you can see, although we may not be
proposing a new building in the future, our
current facility is in need of attention. We will
keep you posted on our progress as we go
forward. As always, if you have any concerns about the library facility or services,
please contact me at the library.
