Lands projects progress; The project of the month is
Kantafu Serene Gardens. This is ideal for immediate

Our main projects of the quarter are Katani Mountain
View and Kisaju Dawn Estate. We had a very successful
open day for the Katani Mountain View and Kisaju Dawn
Estate. Get your plot now, few plots are remaining.
SIC Progress: We are glad to inform you that our share
capital has hit the Kshs 1.1 billion mark having started
the year with share capital of Kshs 792.5 m. A growth of
38.8% mainly due to Capitalization of dividends. We are
now on our way to attaining the Ksh1.5B mark.
SIC Survey; SIC is focusing on meeting its members
needs that is why we are encouraging every member

is excited to launch the SIC ONLINE PORTAL in August.
No more struggles, at the comfort of your phone or
laptop you will have easy access to your account. You
will access your statement, check your balance and trade
your shares online.
SIC Chipukizi Account: Safaricom Investment
Cooperative will launch a special account for children of
less than 18 years (SIC CHIPUKIZI ACCOUNT).
Parents will act as guardians of their children until they
are 18 years of age after which the account will be fully
transferred to them.

1. RUAKA RIDGE PROGRESS OF WORK
• The project has a very impressive progress
• The project is in the 5th floor
• Plaster work on ground & 1st floor are ongoing
• The show house is 75% complete

halfway to completion

4. SIC ONLINE PORTAL
Safaricom Investment Cooperative will launch SIC ONLINE PORTAL in August, 2015.
As members you will have the privilege of paperless transactions at the comfort of your phone by
messaging or laptop through the SIC website link for the below services.
• Share Trading
• Checking Statement
• Checking balance
Online Share Trading
The shares trading portal will enable members to buy and sell shares online
Members will be able to :
• Float shares- To list shares in the market
• View shares book - History of your shares
• View shares in the market
• Bid for your shares
• View and edit your bids if they are not accepted.
• View your profile
• Change password
• Withdraw a sale order from the market
• View your statement
5. SIC CHIPUKIZI ACCOUNT
Safaricom Investment Cooperative will launch the (SIC Chipukizi Account) membership for Children under
the age of 18 years. The main motivation is to introduce the young ones to an investment culture & saving
habit early in life. To support the investment culture, SIC will organise age appropriate events to expose the
young ones to various investment elements
Key Features:
• Pay the entrance fee of KShs 5,000/= buy at least 150 shares of KShs. 350/= each for a total of Ksh
52,500.
• Payment of minimum shares will be paid either in lump sum or in 3 months installments.* of Kshs
30,000, Kshs. 15,000 and Kshs. 12,500.
• Pay at least Kshs.1,500 per month towards deposits when the minimum shares have been paid up.
• Sign the membership form which shall be deemed to bind the members to accept the rights and duties
of membership as set forth in the Act, Rules and these By-laws.
• Either of the parents will act as a guardian for the child
• Every applicant for membership shall complete an ‘Application for Membership’ form filled by the
guardian.
• Account name will appear as the Parent name/Name of the child.
• The Account name will change to that of the Child on attainment of 18 years after presentation of a copy
of ID and KRA pin.
