Neuentwicklung ermöglicht das Kippen von Flügeln in Hochkant-Stellung und das nachfolgende
ebenerdige Transportieren durch nur eine männliche Person.
Das Flügel – Kipp – und Transportsystem TRANSkip ist für alle Flügel mit flachen, ebenen Stuhlboden
geeignet, die einen festen Sitz des Abrollsegmentes gewährleisten und nicht breiter als 158 cm sind.
Flügelfußverbinder stellen kein Problem dar. Sollte Ihr Instrument über seitlich fest verschraubte
Transportleisten verfügen, können wir Ihnen eine angepasste Konstruktion des TRANSkip anbieten.
Selbst Flügel bis zur Konzertflügelgröße lassen sich mit TRANSkip durch nur einen Mann bewegen.
TRANSkip ist in die Komponenten Kippsegment, Wagen und Flügelheber zerlegbar, hat ein geringes
Eigengewicht und lässt sich somit problemlos in jeden PKW-Kofferraum bewegen.

New development has made transporting Grand Pianos by one person possible. The Grand, standing on
it’s side, can be loaded and moved on flat surfaces.
The Grand piano tilt and moving system TRANSkip is for use with all Grand pianos where the keybed
is flat on the underside, which allows for a firm seating of the tilter, maximal breadth of grand 158cm.
If your instrument is fitted with skid rails attached to its side, we can offer TRANSkip in an adapted design.
Leg bindings do not present a problem.
Even a Concert Grand can be moved by one person using TRANSkip.
TRANSkip has low weight and comes apart in three pieces, the tilting segment, trolley and grand jack.
It also fits in the boot of any car.
Being so light makes it very mobile and ideal for use in outside customer service as well as in the
workshop. Guaranteed to be the most flexible tool!
Simple to use because the trolley, which is securely attached to the Grand, stands immediately after tilting.
The transport trolley is only 79cm wide so going through normal door ways with Grand standing upright
is easy (of course without the legs and the lyre attached).
Comes with accessories for moving Grand without it’s lid. E.g. when the Grand is still being repaired.
The trolley and the tilting segment can be used separately. The trolley can be used for storage of single
Grands. The trolleys are of course available separately.
The TRANSkip transporting system saves time and the costs associated with Grand Piano transport.
Within fifteen minutes is the Grand out of the way and TRANSkip packed away.

Directions for the TRANSkip
Grand Piano tilt and moving system
1. The grand piano tilt and moving system TRANSkip is designed for use with all grand pianos that
have a flat keybed, which allows for a firm seating of the tilter,maximal breadth of grand 158cm.
If your instrument is fitted with skid rails attached to its side, we can offer TRANSkip in an
adapted design.
2. Using the grand piano lifter, lift the piano at the front left corner to remove the left leg. (Be sure
to check the solid attachment of the legs, especially the rear leg, as it will support weight as the
piano is tilted.) Fig. 1.
3. Remove left leg. Fig. 2.
4. Insert tilting attachment into the front dolly by releasing the brake (ring handle) and pushing the
tilting attachment in further until the red mark can no longer be seen. Fig. 3 + 4. Turn the wheel
with the lock inwards and parallel to the tilter attachment and lock in that position. Fig. 4 + 5.
5. Attach the front dolly with the tilting attachment to the piano case/lid and tighten securely using
the spindle. Fig. 5.
IMPORTANT: the TILTING ATTACHMENT must lay flat under the KEYBED of the
instrument. Fig. 11.
6. Tighten the safety belt on the front dolly. Fig. 6.
7. Attach the rear dolly at the end of the straight side of the piano. Lock the wheels into the position
parallel to the small tilting segment. Fig. 7.
8. Remove the piano lifter and lower the piano onto the tilting attachment. (Starting position for
tilting) Fig. 8.
9. Tilt the piano by lifting the right leg until the piano is standing at an angle. Fig. 9. Then put your
left foot on the tilting attachment (for counter-bearing during the second part of the tilt) and bring
the piano to the vertical position. Fig. 10. Then remove the tilting attachment and release the
wheel lock.
10. To tilt the piano down again, use the reverse procedure.
IMPORTANT: Check and ensure the proper seating of the tilting attachment, check positioning
of the wheels and ensure they are locked. Fig. 11 + 12. Place foot on the tilting attachment again
for counter-bearing during tilting.
11. Pianos without a lid can be tilted and moved using the proxy lid accessory. The proxy lid is
placed in the area of the front legs in place of the original lid, so that the front dolly can be
secured over the proxy lid. Fig. 13. The rear dolly is secured directly on to the case.
12. For safety reasons, a second person should be present when using TRANSkip for the first time.
The directions for use are to be followed exactly, there is no liability for incorrect use and operation.
Important note: The wheel lock mentioned in these directions are designed to lock the wheels in
position for tilting. It is not possible to use the lock as a “brake” for the standing piano and therefore
this is not allowed.

Operating Instructions

The Transkip-Grand Piano Lifter is used to lift
the piano to remove one leg.
Safety Tips:
The instrument must be secured to prevent rolling!. Do not work underneath the raised piano.
Adjust the lifting plate so that it is 2 cm higher than the underside of the key bed. (Fig. 1)
Tilt the lifter to a maximum of 15° , position it under the piano and lift the instrument by
pushing down on the lever arm until the arm comes to lay on the floor. (Fig. 2)
Important: Do not tilt the lifter more than 15° because the movement of the plate's ball and
socket joint is limited to 15° . (Fig. 3)

TRANSkip – Grand Piano Skid Board
The newly developed TRANSkip – Grand Piano Skid Board expands the TRANSkip Grand
Piano Tilt and Transport System. In particular, it protects the piano rim from mechanical
damage when moving using inclined ramps for loading into trailers, etc.
The TRANSkip – Grand Piano Skid Board is available in approppriate lengths for any piano.
The skid board should be 20 cm longer than the instrument. (Board length: 160, 170, 180….
up to 320 cm)
