The closed areas are well marked. Do not ride in areas
designated as closed to snowmobiling. Please watch for and
obey all posted signs.
If wildlife is encountered, refrain from approaching. Stay
on your snowmobile. If wildlife is encountered on a road or
designated trail, turn off the engine and remain on your sled.
Wait until the wildlife have moved off the road or trail before
continuing and make every effort to stay as far away from
wildlife as safely possible.
If wildlife is encountered in a play area, do not approach.
Shut down your machine to give the animal(s) a chance to
move away, then leave the area and refrain from riding
within sight of the wildlife.
If wildlife tracks are observed, don't follow the tracks. It’s
okay to take photographs of wildlife if form a respectful and
safe distance.
Boulder Mountain Area
Revelstoke’s most popular riding area. Turn off the TransCanada Highway, 0.6 km west of town, and travel to the
main Boulder/Frisby parking area approx. 2 km on Westside
Road. From the parking lot, over 50+ km of groomed trails
lead to 84 sq. km. of alpine riding areas. Boulder offers terrain
for ALL riding abilities. Large open bowls with easy access,
and great views for the family. Long hill-climbs for the more
experienced riders. The Revelstoke Snowmobile Club
maintains a day cabin, at the terminus of the three main
trails: Bezanson, Veideman, and Kirkup. Major trails are
marked by club members, as well as prominent landmarks
and junctions. There is a Guest book at the cabin, we urge
you to sign in and out. Riding altitude: 5000 - 7000 ft.

Fast becoming a popular area, it is 52 km north on Highway 23.
Parking is limited. This area is not groomed at this time, but may
be in the future. This is a very large area, for more experienced
riders. Extra gas is a must. Avalanche equipment is recommended.
Large bowls and very long climbs abound. This is a remote region,
pack gear accordingly. Watch for caribou, and respect their space.
There is a Forestry cabin in the eastern area, please sign in, and
keep it tidy. Riding altitude: 5500 - 8000 ft.
