The RobertQ shuttle service provides ground
transportation services to and from Pearson (Toronto)
Airport (YYZ) and Detroit Metro Airport (DTW) to
various locations in Southern Ontario. The fee from
Toronto Airport to Windsor is approximately $92.53;
and $44.34 from Detroit Metro Airport.
*** Upon Arrival
It is important that once you have landed at Pearson
(Toronto) Airport (YYZ) or Detroit Metro Airport
(DTW) and have picked up your luggage, that you
then proceed to the customs officer/passport control
to certify your student-visa here in Canada.

DAY AND WEEKEND TRIPS
The St. Clair International Office organizes
several weekend trips every year to Toronto
and Niagara Falls to see Canadian culture
and attractions.
Confirmation of Arrival and College Pick-Up
There are also day trips offered on a
seasonal basis to participate in Canadian
activities such as ice skating, nature
walks, student events and St.Clair Student
Representative Council (SRC) pub nights.
A representative from St. Clair College will coordinate
with you your transportation via RobertQ shuttle
services to Windsor. Upon arrival you are asked
to proceed to the designated motel/hotel for a
complimentary stay while you find housing.
FIELD TRIPS
In conjunction with your program, such as
the International Business Management
program, there are field trips to places that
relate to your field of study.
you will be traveling to Windsor, Ontario.
In order to assist you we will need the date and
time of arrival in advance and a photo copy

Planning For your Arrival
You will want to begin making arrangements for housing as soon as you receive your acceptance to St. Clair College and before you
arrive in Canada. The International Office can help you. Contact Alex Wu at [email protected] to inform the International Office of
your arrangements.

Heath Insurance
Please make arrangements to arrive in
Windsor, Ontario at least 3-4 days before
the start date of your program.
The approximate cost of books and supplies has
been stated in your Letter of Acceptance. Your
St. Clair College tuition fees do not include the
cost of books and supplies you will need for
your course. On average, students spend about
$600-$1,000 each semester on supplies.
Your St. Clair College tuition fees include
comprehensive heath insurance. If you
become ill or have an accident in Canada,
your health insurance will pay for
consultations with doctors, specialists, and
other heath care providers.
Your books and supplies can be purchased
from the campus bookstore such as;
Your college health insurance coverage will
begin on the first day of the month of your
school term. Please contact the International
Office, to pick-up your Campus Care Health
Insurance Card.

St. Clair College SportsPlex
The Windsor Campus SportsPlex is a state-ofthe-art 80,000 sq. ft. facility that is the envy of
this region. It houses a triple gym which is the
only one of its kind in Southwestern Ontario,
a 10,000 sq. ft. fitness centre complete with
the latest equipment, an indoor
running track and 12 team rooms
for varsity athletics. It is strategically
located right on campus, across from
Quittenton Hall residence.

Quitenton Hall is St. Clair College’s student residence apartments. Each apartment
includes; two bedrooms each with a double bed, private work area, closet and dresser,
satalite television, and shared two person living room, 3-piece bathroom, and kitchenette.
On campus just minutes away from classes.
Rent costs will vary based on academic, summer, or winter semesters (approximatly $5000
for September - April). For the most current rates see www.stclairrez.ca/rates.html
Space is limited so you will want to obtain a spot on the waiting list as soon as you receive
your acceptance letter from St. Clair College.

Windsor has plenty of supermarkets, malls
and other stores where you may purchase
food and supplies. Within one kilometre of St.
Clair’s Main Campus is an outlet mall that has
great upscale clothing stores, and restaurants
(i.e., Hugo Boss, Tommy Hilfiger, Nike, Calvin
Klein, Aeropostale, and Urban Planet.) Other
popular shopping locations are the Devonshire
Mall, Tecumseh Mall, and Wal-Mart which are
all located along major Windsor Transit Bus

Student Email “St.Clair Connect ID”
Student Email is used to keep in contact with your professors,
and receive important documents, assignments, test reviews,
etc.
St. Clair Computer Labs and Internet Login
Obtain St.Clair Connect ID from Self Service (1-time setup)
- Go to your Self-Service Login information and follow the steps.
Step One
You will be prompted when using St. Clair computers to enter your
student ID and password.
- Then proceed to click “Self-Service Click Here”
User ID
You must enter your personal student number that is located on your
student ID card along with the letter “W” as shown in the window below.
- Click on “Campus Personal Information” from the menu; then click
“Email Addresses” within the menu.

- Follow the steps on this page and add your personal email address
to register and setup your St. Clair Connect ID.
Password
Your password will be the first two letters of your first name and first
two letters of your last name CAPITALIZED along with the last four

Visit www.stclaircollege.ca and click the Current Students menu on the right-hand side of the College
website to choose either the Self-Ser vice Login
Login, Blackboard Login or the Student Email Login
Step One
Go to www.stclaircollege.ca, and click on the “Current Students” tab
then click on “Student Email Login”.
Step Two
You will see a website that looks like the one in Figure1. Click on the
“Sign-In Here” button.
Step Three
You will see a website that looks like the one in Figure 2. Type in your
username and password and click “Sign In”. You will be taken to your
emaill inbox as shown in Figure 3.

Your user ID will be your first name and your full last name with a
period “ . ” between. Example; john.smith

courses, view your final grades, and other information regarding
your College account.

taken to a website that looks like the one to the right.

Blackboard is used to get information from your

NOTES
Working During Your Studies
The Canadian government supports the idea of international
students working part time to offset many of the costs associated
with studying in Canada—e.g., tuition fees, accommodation,
food, entertainment, etc.
Therefore, start from June 1, 2014, students enrolled full time in
academic programs are allowed to work up to 20 hours per week
on or off campus and work full time during vacation breaks.

Working After Graduation
Upon completion of your postsecondary or post diploma studies,
a post-graduate open work permit is available to graduates. This
permit is valid for 1 - 3 years based on a student’s program of
study.

The Canadian government understands that after graduating from
college and working full time that many international students may
wish to stay in Canada and pursue a path towards becoming a
Canadian citizen.
After 12-months post-graduation skilled work experience,
international students with temporary residency may apply for
permanent residency through the Canada Experience Class (CEC)
