The adventure starts at Duffy's Roadhouse (milepost 63 of the
Tok Cut Off Highway) through miles of scenic Alaska Wilderness
to the historic Slate Creek or Porcupine Creek gold mining area.
Adventures start daily!
May -September
Adventures
You may spot Moose, Caribou, Wolves, Bears
and other critters in their natural environment. The
views along the trail are awesome!
You will see rivers & glaciers that will take your
breath away.
Fly into Yah Alaska using one of our bush pilots,
explore, pan for GOLD, take a tour and return the
same day by bush plane in the afternoon. Food,
drinks, use of equipment & souvenir included.
You keep the GOLD & treasure you recover.
The present owner, Turmac Corp. just purchased Duffy's
from the
Ellis' in 2007 along with several patented gold mining properties
along slate creek and the Chistochina River with the intention of
starting Duffy's
Adventures.
GOLD! In the late 1890's and early 1900's GOLD was discovered
in the slate creek area and some of the richest deposits came from
the Miller's
Gulch and Slate Creek claims.
Elmer and the Elmer family trust allowed mining on the property
by a few mining operations who each mined quantities of GOLD
and other valuable deposits however much of the property has not
been mined to date.
It's an adventure you and your family will never forget!
We hope to make you feel like you have went back in time to the
early 1900' s leaving all the comforts of home behind --we have
included some comforts that the prospectors back then dreamed
about --but didn't have.
