Events
As an integrated Group in the events business, GL events is developing
across three big events markets: trade fairs / exhibitions for professionals
or the general public - congresses and conventions - cultural, sporting
and political events.
The group works for a large number of institutional and private clients in
France and abroad, priding itself on achieving its clients’ ambitions and
objectives.
With a presence on five continents and 20 countries, GL events has more
than 3500 employees, and had 727 million euros in turnover in 2010.
GL events is organised around 3 main activities:
GL events Live: full range of business lines and services for corporate,
institutional and sports events. From consulting services and design to
producing the event itself, GL events Live teams is capable of proposing
turnkey event solutions to major worldwide event customers.
GL events Exhibitions: management and coordination of the Group’s
250 proprietary trade fairs, promoting the duplication of events,
innovation and operating synergies between the Group’s other business
lines.
GL events Venues: operations for the current network that includes
36 event venues in France and abroad (Convention centres, Exhibition
parks, Auditoriums and Multi-purpose halls): in Lyon – Paris - Toulouse

Ankara International Congress and Exhibition Center is one of the
crucial basic stones of Ankara as an opening gate to the world,
structured to meet the customized needs by its infrastructure
and usage area of 80.490 m². Exhibition hall area of 10.400 m² at
total is making our Center to be the most appropriate choice for

Ankara International Congress and Exhibition Center Auditorium is
inclined towards and has fixed seating with a capacity of 3086 people
and a stage of 1200 m2. The arrangement of the seating is designed
for both conferences and business meetings as well as hosting various
shows at a maximum comfort aiming at quality and high standards.
The facilities of taking notes, using laptops and connection to the

Internet as well as using headphones are just some examples that can
be arranged for a conference adjustment. There are also elevators for
loads at the back of the stage in order to use multi ways easily.

ATRIUM
With a height of 22, 60 m and total area of 2080 m2 and uniting all of the
separate places in the building, the atrium greets the visitors visually. The
atrium is designed as a spacious area that ties all of the floors together.
The atrium functions as both the life center of the whole building and
the foyer areas of the big exhibition halls on this floor, at the same time
as an exhibition hall itself when required.

Event Exhibitions
The two main exhibition halls (8, 20 m of height) are tied to each
other with an inner street, which is twelve and a half meters wide.
Armored concrete of 32 m, pass through the hall without any
columns providing great spacious halls. The surrounding walls of
the exhibition halls are designed as
moving division walls. Therefore, we
can benefit from the halls as two or four
separate halls and even eight different
halls of 768 m2 each.

Meeting the expectations of top-level facilities, Ankara International
Congress and Exhibition Center is fully equipped for international
gatherings, exhibitions, meetings, congresses, show and all other kind
of events.

Regarding different various usage functions that the building offers, it
can be considered as a multi-purposed building. Meeting the need for
such places in Ankara and hosting international organizations as well
as creating a life and culture center for the residents can be counted as
the building’s objectives.

A Perfect Venue to Meet
The multi-purposed hall can be used as one hall of 1530 m2 or it can be
divided into three parts and used as three separate halls of 510 m2 when it is
necessary for different purposes. At the back of the hall, there is a kitchen for
the meetings which meals are served.

RESTAURANT
On the right of the exhibition’s main entrance, there is a two-floored
restaurant facing the front side and the view. The restaurant has its own
service core and a separate entrance in order to be able to serve both within
the restaurant and to the VIP rooms at the upper level.

Abant Lake is a crater lake 34 km.
southwest of Bolu province located
on the Abant Mountains. The lake
is fed by the underground waters.
Abant Lake environ hosts a very

the region are the most convenient

Picnic, camping, sportive line
fishing , trekking, yachting, horse
riding, phaeton riding and natural
ice skating in the winter are the
activities of this nature park. There

of the lake.
Kizilcahamam
Situated 83 km from Ankara,
Kizilcahamam is the most heavily
forested town in the province. The
thermal springs in this location
have rich mineral waters which
are among the most important
thermal springs in the country. This
mineral waters are extremely good
for many health issues, therefore
many visitors came to this location
for wellness and renewal.
Beypazari
Located 99 km from Ankara,
Beypazari’s history goes back to
the Hittites and Phyrgians. This
charming district is famous for its
historical houses, silver craftsmen
and for its carrots. Within the
district are many places of
interest, including the Bogazkesen
tomb, Suluhan, the Old Baths,
the Sultan Ala’addin Mosque,
the Aksemseddin Mosque, the
Kursunlu Mosque, the Rustem Pasa
Baths, the tomb of Gazi Gunduzalp
(Hirkatepe), Kara Davut’s Tomb
(Kuyumcutekke) and the tomb of
Karaca Ahmet.
Kartalkaya
Konya is one of the first inhabited
cities in the history of mankind,
and still contains traces of many
ancient civilisations which gives
it the atmosphere of a museum
city. Because of its locations in
the middle of the barren Anatolian
steppe, it used to be one of the
most important trading centres
on the Silk Road. The fertile land
around the city means Konya is
also the heart of Turkey’s grain
industry, with farming a major
industry. Steeped in tradition, it is
one of the most conservative and
religious places in the country, and
best known as the adopted home
of Celaleddin Rumi, the Sufic mystic
who founded the Whirling Dervish
sect. Today it is still a centre of
Sufic practice and teaching, and
one of the highlights for visitors is
the Mevlana Museum, the former
lodge of the dervishes.
Kartalkaya ski center is located
in the Western Black Sea Region,
southeast of the town of Bolu
in the picturesque pine forests
ot the Köroğlu Mountains wich
has suitable conditions for Alpine
skiing, ski touring, cross country
skiing and it is equipped with 3
chairlifts and 15 T bars.
The duration of the skiing season is
120 days a year. The skiing area of
Kartalkaya is 1800-2221 m high and
the most suitable skiing conditions
are between 20 December and 30
March. The average snow fall is 3
m in normal winter conditions. At
the beginning of the season the
type of snow is ‘powderey-snow’
and at the end of the season the
snow characteristic is slightly
‘slushy snow.’
Gordion
The capital city of the Phrygian
empire, the remains of the
renowned city of Gordion are near
the Ankara-Eskisehir highway at
the confluence of the Sakarya
and Porsuk rivers and 90 km from
Ankara, in the village of Yassihoyuk.
The history of Gordion goes back
to 3000 BC (Early Bronze Age).
It was an important settlement
during the Assyrian and Hittite
periods (1950 BC - 1180 BC) and,
of course, the Phrygian era (900
BC - 620 BC), during which it was
the capital city. It was named after
King Gordios, the king who made it
the capital. The famous knot made
by King Gordios was cut in two
by Alexander the Great in 333 BC,
when he wintered in Gordion.
