WHERE’S THE LINE? 844-234-LINE
Dear Friends of The New Albany Classic,
This year The New Albany Classic Invitational Grand Prix and Family Day celebrates its 19th year of bringing together
our community for a day filled with hope.
As a friend of The Classic, we want you to know that in the past year the funds raised through the event have enabled
The Center for Family Safety and Healing (TCFSH) to do many things. For example, TCFSH was able to help over
200 witnesses of family violence receive information on how to help victims through the Where’s The Line? public
education campaign. Thank you for helping make our effort to raise awareness about family violence and increase
bystander reporting possible. The Where’s The Line? campaign was the first of its kind nationally and we are extremely
pleased with its impact thus far.
For the fourth year running, we are pleased to share that the North American Riders Group has designated The
Classic the #1 Specialty Equestrian Event in the country. Our donors, riders, volunteers, vendors and guests all
contribute greatly to the success of the event, and this collective effort benefits families throughout central Ohio.
This year’s Classic will take place on Sunday, September 25, 2016 from 10am to 5pm at the Wexner home in New
Albany. In addition to the Grand Prix show jumping competition featuring many of the world’s best riders, the day
features Concert at The Classic presented by Justice, an ascena retail company, with national headline performers,
and the festival of family entertainment and activities includes carnival rides and amusements, petting zoos, live
theater, farm tours, sports experiences, a food truck extravaganza and more. There is truly something fun for everyone
at The Classic.
Where’s The Line? is a first-of-its-kind effort to encourage and empower bystanders to act
on behalf of family violence victims. Bystanders are three times more likely to intervene after seeing a
bystander campaign. The Center for Family Safety and Healing (TCFSH) created Where’s The Line? to offer
resources that can educate the general public, answer questions and triage requests to appropriate
services. Bystanders can also anonymously and confidentially call 844-234-LINE, text 87028 or
instant message via www.FamilySafetyandHealing.org with questions or concerns. The resource line
should not replace 911 in case of an emergency or any other 24-hour emergency crisis hotline. Family
violence happens everywhere and ending it is everyone’s responsibility.
Over its 18 years, The Classic has raised over $27 million, all of which has been put toward TCFSH’s goal of breaking
the cycle of family violence and restoring hope. We appreciate the continued support for the work of TCFSH and
are humbled by the many foundations, families and corporations who have been with us from the very beginning.
Progress is being made and that simply wouldn’t be possible without the support of our community.
We hope that you’ll consider being a part of The Classic this year. In recognition of your generosity, you will receive
an array of exciting benefits which are outlined in the enclosed information. Should you have any questions after
reviewing the material, please contact Stephanie Lorenz at (614) 939-3026.
Thank you for your consideration and we hope you’ll join with us to help raise awareness and restore hope.
LOVE
– ABIGAIL S. WEXNER, FOUNDER & BOARD CHAIR, TCFSH

WHERE’S THE LINE?
Sincerely,
“By focusing on the bystander and
empowering people to be able to recognize
all forms of family violence, we hope to
encourage reporting.”
If you think someone may have crossed the line
and have questions about what to do next, we have answers
and advice that can help. Together, we can end teen dating abuse.

THE 19TH ANNUAL NEW ALBANY CLASSIC
INVITATIONAL GRAND PRIX & FAMILY DAY
This fall marks the 19th year of The New
Albany Invitational Grand Prix and Family
Day, which has been named the #1 Specialty
Equestrian Event in North America for the
fourth consecutive year by the North American
Riders Group. From the thrills of the worldclass show jumping competition, carnival
rides, performances on the community
Dance, Sing & Roar! stage to Concert at The
Classic presented by Justice, an ascena retail
company, and more, The Classic brings 20,000
people together for an incredible day of family
entertainment.
However, the heart of the day is celebrating
healthy families and supporting The Center for
Family Safety and Healing. To date, over $27
million has been raised in an effort to break the
cycle of family violence and restore hope in
our community.
This year’s event will be held on Sunday,
September 25th from 10am to 5pm at the
Wexner Home in New Albany. We look forward
to creating new memories with you while
raising funds to support families in our central
Ohio community!
“The Classic is really about celebrating healthy
families. There’s something for all ages to
enjoy and we work very hard each year to add
new elements that keep The Classic fresh. It’s
an economical and full day of entertainment
that benefits The Center for Family Safety
and Healing, so while our guests are creating
memories together they’re also helping families
throughout central Ohio.”
