At Windsong Comprehensive Breast Care, you
will receive an interdisciplinary approach to your
care from early detection, rapid diagnosis and
consultation, to leading edge treatment options
and a survivorship program that includes nutrition,
social work and exercise programs.
We are Western New York’s first and only breast
care facility to receive accreditation by the National
Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC).
In addition we are one of the first 15 free-standing
centers in the nation that are not hospital based
centers. The NAPBC designation is only granted
to those centers that have voluntarily committed
to provide the highest level of quality breast care,
undergo a rigorous evaluation process and an
on-site review of their performance.
ACCREDITATION MEANS:

multidisciplinary conference to ensure care is individualized based on national standards

A center that voluntarily committed to an
evaluation by the Accreditation program to
ensure standards meet or exceed the nationally recognized standards
Windsong Radiology Group established the local
standard for precise, same-day breast imaging and
biopsy. Our professional team of Board Certified
Radiologists includes those Fellowship-Trained in
Women’s imaging. A breast patient navigator is
assigned to your case and will guide you through
making appointments, attending an educational
session for newly diagnosed patients and
anticipating your needs.
Laurie Connors, DNP, APNG, FNP-BC is the
program coordinator for the Hereditary Risk
Assessment Program. This program provides
individual consultation to evaluate your hereditary
risk for breast or ovarian cancer. Based on this
comprehensive evaluation, recommendations for
surveillance, treatments and risk reduction options
will be provided.
Team
The surgeon and oncologist(s) team up to
determine the best course of treatment based on
your diagnosis. Jointly, they discuss standards
of care and work to continually improve their
methods through education and collaboration.
Not all cancers need all types of treatments; we
will provide you with the best options for you.
Katherine O’Donnell, MD, FACS is the Medical
Director of Windsong Comprehensive Breast Care
and a Board Certified Surgeon who specializes
in breast disease. Dr. O’Donnell and Surgical
Oncologist, Michael Peyser, MD, FACS along
with support staff will guide you through the
best surgical options for you as an individual,
and make recommendations to enable a full
evaluation to the extent of your disease.

technology by highly trained Board Certified
Medical and Radiation Oncologists.
CCS Oncology provides you with Sate-ofthe-Art radiation technology and the highest
level of clinical expertise in a convenient and
comfortable setting. Personalized care from
physicians and staff is performed with accuracy
and speed bringing New Hope to all stages and
