HOME PLUSH HOME
When her bespoke furniture
line began growing its fan base
at a rapid rate, Nina Petronzio
made the natural decision to
expand her interior design
practice into a West Hollywood
retail store. Drawing inspiration
from European boutique houses,
Petronzio founded Plush Home
to provide patrons with more
options courtesy of the madeto-order furnishings offered
within. Popular items include
the Carlisle coffee table and
ottoman, which can be completely
customized for an exceedingly
versatile piece. plushhome.com

THAT’S A WRAP
Influenced by a combination of
history, fashion, nature, travel,
and architecture, the Los Angelesbased Levy family wanted to
introduce a fresh, one-of-a-kind
product to the market. Enter
Fresco Towels: These luxurious,
plush Turkish cotton towels
made in the U.S.A. are easy to
get wrapped up in. The artistic
towel company offers bath towels,
beach towels, bags, pillows, and
ponchos that come in distinctive
adobe, Aztec and patriotic prints.
The patterned prints and soft,
cottony feel have us stocking up.

PAPER PERFECT
Just as the name implies, Odd
Daughter Paper Co. is anything
but ordinary. Owner Katie Hart
has transformed her love of
vintage type and old-fashioned
snail mail into a line of stationery
that is as beautiful as it is
functional. The online shop’s
offerings—prints, postcards,
coasters, and cards—are
all designed and printed in
Southern California. With
designs this adorable, there’s
sure to be something for every
occasion. We’re really loving
the Hip Hip Hooray set of 12
coasters! odddaughterpaper.com
FROM EUROPE WITH LOVE
After living and working abroad,
shop owner Laurence Dupin
developed a deep appreciation
for unique, high-quality European
products, which sparked the idea
for Chic Design. Located in the
heart of the Los Angeles design
district, the store was fashioned,
according to Dupin, to be a place
where lifestyle and design come
together. Carrying best-selling
furniture pieces, like the Mood
rocking bed and the La Boite
Concept (a table with a built-in
dock station), Chic Design is
your go-to for any and all things
interior. chicdesign.com

CONTEMPORARY COLLECTION
Art meets design at the R.B. Stevenson Gallery
located in the I. Magnin & Co. department
store museum in La Jolla. Crisp white walls
fill the space among a myriad of contemporary
paintings, drawings and sculptures. Owner
Ronald Stevenson’s mission is to inspire while
emphasizing California painters through the
rotating art installations. This season, explore
exhibits featuring locals such as Frances
McCormack, Jimi Gleason and Eva Struble,
to name a few. rbstevensongallery.com
Communal tables and a chic retro feel define
the eclectic aesthetic at Brooklyn Girl Eatery.
Neatly tucked into the Mission Hills district,
this farm-to-table restaurant—founded by
husband-and-wife duo Michael and Victoria
McGeath—serves up delectables such as baconwrapped Vietnamese meatballs, chocolate chip
bread pudding and The Back Pocket Mule, a
unique twist on the more traditional Moscow
Mule. When you visit, be sure to ask for (our fave!)
Jessica, an attentive, warm and knowledgeable
server—she’s sure to make your time well
spent. brooklyngirleatery.com
JAVA JUNCTION
There’s a new cup of joe in town to make
your mornings a little smoother. Roasted in
Long Beach and packaged in adorable mason
jars and vintage glass bottles to help seal in
freshness, Heartbreak Coffee is raw, artisanal
coffee at its finest. Try the flight sampler: four
3 oz. jars filled with a
variety of beans from
around the world. Who
knew coffee could come
in so many delectable
flavor profiles? heartbreakcoffee-roasters.myshopify.com

FIESTA FEAST
Los Angeles has so many great restaurant choices,
but right now, I’m frequenting Gracias Madre—an
organic, vegan, non-GMO Mexican restaurant.
The brussel sprouts and cauliflower tacos are
ridiculously delicious paired with a purista
margarita. The ambience is fresh and grounded
in wonderful simple design. gracias-madre.com
TO TIE-DYE FOR
I am infatuated with Sharon Marie Weinraub’s
textiles, particularly her tie-dye designs. The
technique she uses to produce her exquisite
patterns is extraordinary, and the color palettes
she creates are phenomenal. sharonweinraub.com
I’m always getting compliments on my signature
scent, Mémoire Liquide #203. The fragrance has
rich, deep layers of pure perfume essences and
essential oils. memoireliquideperfume.com
SUITE SPOT
I recently snuck away to The Resort at Pelican
Hill, and it was like visiting Tuscany. They have
a great spa and a gorgeous golf course, and
the dinner service at the Andrea restaurant is
outstanding. I highly recommend their signature
risotto—Arborio rice cooked into a giant cheese
wheel. pelicanhill.com
NEW REVIVAL
The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing
Arts opened late last year at the old post office
on Santa Monica Boulevard. A magical place from
the outside, I’ve definitely added it to my summer
to-do list. I am very interested in experiencing the
bridging of the Italian Renaissance architecture
from the WPA era with the innovative, modern
addition. thewallis.org
ARTISTIC OBSERVATION
The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA)
is set right in the middle of the city and attracts
so much diversity. There is an abundance of
outdoor spaces. I like to go sit in one of the
courtyard restaurants—there’s a unique calmness
to the bustle there—and enjoy snacks and tea as
I people-watch. lacma.org
TOP SHOP
My micro-showroom, Boluxe Home by Bridgid
Coulter, is like a grown-up playground. We not only
display custom textiles but also toy around with
different room layouts. We mostly carry our own
brand of custom textiles, pillows, linen napkins,
candles, and seasonal products such as vintage
goods, art and accessories. boluxehome.com
