Dear friends,
With the addition of the channels D8 and D17 to the Group, and our authorization to represent advertising sales
for the UGC cinema network, in 2013 CANAL+ RÉGIE is starting to undergo major changes that will give it a new
position in the media market.
"Premium Display Advertising" is our slogan for the years ahead.
This slogan highlights and consolidates CANAL+ RÉGIE’s longstanding premium offering.
With CANAL+, its offshoots CANAL+ SPORT and CANAL+ DÉCALÉ, i>TÉLÉ, all the theme channels of the
CANAL+ Group, CANALPLUS.FR and all the websites and mobile apps developed around our brands, CANAL+
RÉGIE now offers the best programmes and video content available on all screen terminals. And audiences are
recognizing this, because the most relevant and sought-after target groups are consistently amongst our viewers.
This includes high-income groups, the half of the working population that is the most loyal to brands but also the
most demanding in its television viewing. Finally, this is a premium offering because we have also done
everything in our power to give maximum visibility to your campaigns and generate maximum attention for your
messages and brands on all our screens.
This slogan also determines our future.
The editorial reviews of D8 and D17 are proof of our ambition to target free television audiences with the promise
of quality entertainment that’s both enjoyable and stimulating. We’re sure that a large, high-quality audience will
respond favourably to this ambitious and exclusive editorial offering. However, we’re not changing our
fundamentals in terms of the position we offer your brands on our channels. We know that our policy of short
advertising slots ensures the best viewing experience and greater effectiveness for your campaigns. Fewer ads
mean more attention for your messages.
Finally, this slogan clearly positions what we offer and what we pledge.
Bringing you the best of what can be seen on television, PC, tablet or mobile screens, as well as the big screens
of cinemas in the UGC network, the ultimate premium cinema screen, from 1 January.
From the one-to-one experience offered by the smallest screens to the spectacular and collective experience
provided by the biggest, we think that creating cross-screen or trans-screen advertising within a system based on
the use of video content and terminals is a relevant, natural, rich and highly anticipated proposal.
Drawing from the strength of our content and newly enlarged offerings, we will continue to cultivate all our unique
characteristics and differences in 2013:

D CHANNELS
D8
This is a channel for the here and now, which is modern and interested in
everything. Consistently upbeat, it focuses on entertainment (TOUCHE PAS A
MON POSTE, AMAZING RACE). It offers a platform for free spirits who think
outside the box (Le Grand 8). An expert in current affairs, D8 tackles the big news
stories head-on, with several daily news bulletins and magazines that take an
unflinching look at modern society (EN QUÊTE DE L’ACTUALITÉ, AU CŒUR DE
L’ENQUÊTE). You’ll also find the best in fiction on this channel… Cinema, with
popular mainstream films by big names in the business premiering on digital TV,
as well as exceptional and powerful series (BRAQUO, PIGALLE LA NUIT, THE
BORGIAS, CALL THE MIDWIFE AND THE EVENT). Entertainment, news,
magazines, drama, cinema, lifestyle and sport are all areas covered by D8 to
bring you enjoyment and stimulation, because we think that one enlightens and
enriches the other.
D17
This channel is all about music. That’s the primary focus of D17, which is aimed at
15–30 year olds. More than 75% of its time is spent on music, broadcasting
concerts filmed on Europe’s biggest stages as well as videos, documentaries and
artist profiles. As it joins the CANAL+ Group, the channel is having a facelift and
getting a new visual identity but in essence will stay unchanged. From Rihanna, to
Benjamin Biolay, Revolver to Katy Perry, and Kanye West to Metronomy, music
remains at the heart of its programming. Another D17 focus is entertainment in all
its forms, with unashamedly entertaining programmes. Today its ambition is to
engross, entertain, stay close to 15–30 year olds and continue to bring them a
channel that likes what they like, with even more exclusive content and surprises.

COMÉDIE+
The only comedy channel on French TV! It was COMÉDIE+ that first brought French
audiences Les Robins des Bois, Kad and Olivier, Jonathan Lambert, Cyril Hanouna and

The sports channel. SPORT+ offers live and exclusive coverage of the biggest sports
events in Europe and across the world. Its aim is simple: bring subscribers live sporting

INFOSPORT+
Access the latest and most comprehensive sports news with two unique features: an
effective format bringing viewers real-time news and unflinching insights every fifteen
minutes, with no downtime or fillers, and exhaustive and exclusive footage to accompany
the constantly updated bulletins. And to make its subscribers even happier, the editorial
team is committed to providing the best possible analysis, explanation and clarification,
with all the sports expertise of the CANAL+ panellists.
Piwi+
The channel that awakens all the senses! Aimed at kids aged 3–6, PIWI+ stimulates their
curiosity and imagination, helping them explore the world around them. The programming
features heart-warming, funny and thought-provoking stories with everyone’s favourite
characters: Barbapapa, Franklin, Care Bears, Fireman Sam, Mon Papi de Poche,
Dinosaur Train, Robocar Poli and many more.
TéléTOON+
The channel for cheeky, fun-loving kids! With comedy, spoofs, fantasy and challenges, in
short positive entertainment, this is an upbeat and light-hearted channel that understands
what kids want, making them laugh and putting them at ease. The programming features
Oggy et Les Cafards, Les Minijusticiers, Raymond, Oscar & Co, Martin Matin, Captain
Biceps, Total Drama Island, as well as flagship shows and interaction.
GOLF+
The premium golf channel. GOLF+, the first channel in the CANAL+ Group to focus
entirely on golf, gives fans the chance to watch the majors, Ryder Cup and World

1. VOLUME
1.1. The CANAL+ CHANNELS VOLUME DISCOUNT
A discount paid to every advertiser earning on the CANAL+ CHANNELS in 2013 an Invoiced Gross
Turnover* according to the following table (table unchanged from 2012):

3. SEASONAL DISCOUNTS
3.1. The CANAL+ CHANNELS SEASONAL DISCOUNTS
(JANUARY–FEBRUARY/JULY–AUGUST)
The CANAL+ CHANNELS Seasonal discounts is the additional scheduling, in the form of free
advertising, granted to every new advertiser or to every advertiser whose 2013 the CANAL+
CHANNELS Invoiced Gross Turnover* is equal to or greater than the CANAL+ CHANNELS
Invoiced Gross Turnover* of the same period in 2012*, and meeting the conditions of
application defined below.
3.1.1. The CANAL+ CHANNELS SUBSIDISED SEASONAL DISCOUNTS
Advertisers which undertake to meet the conditions for obtaining the CANAL+ CHANNELS
Seasonal discounts, before the openings of schedules of the periods considered, enjoy a
volume of additional free advertising enabling them to double the volume of free advertising
acquired under the Seasonal discounts.
The value of the free advertising to be scheduled is determined according to the following table:

CHANNELS D Seasonal discounts is the additional scheduling, in the form of free advertising,
granted to every advertiser whose 2013 CHANNELS D Invoiced Gross Turnover* meets the
conditions of application defined below.
3.2.1. CHANNELS D SUBSIDISED SEASONAL DISCOUNTS
Advertisers which undertake to meet the conditions for obtaining the Seasonal discounts, before
the openings of schedules of the periods considered, enjoy a volume of additional free
advertising enabling them to double the volume of free advertising acquired under the Seasonal
discounts.

4.1. SUBSIDY OF THE CANAL+ RÉGIE TÉLÉVISION LARGEVOLUME DISCOUNT: 1%
Every advertiser receiving the CANAL+ RÉGIE TÉLÉVISION large-volume Discount whose
Invoiced Gross Turnover* with the CANAL+ CHANNELS in 2013 is equal to or greater than the
Invoiced Gross Turnover* with the CANAL+ CHANNELS in 2012, receives a subsidy of its
CANAL+ RÉGIE TÉLÉVISION large-volume Discount.
This subsidy is combined with the CANAL+ RÉGIE TÉLÉVISION large-volume Discount.
5. PROFESSIONAL DISCOUNT: -15%
A discount calculated on the Invoiced Gross Turnover* after deduction of the various reductions
and discounts and deducted from the monthly invoice.
6. CENTRALISATION DISCOUNT: -2%
A discount calculated on the Invoiced Gross Turnover* after deduction of the various reductions
and discounts, including the professional discount, and deducted from the monthly invoice.
To be able to obtain this discount, an advertiser must use the services of an agent having for
every purchase of conventional advertising space (order) a letter of standing binding it to its
principal according to the template supplied by CANAL+ RÉGIE.

2013 GUARANTEES
1. CANAL+ GUARANTEES
1.1. 100% GUARANTEE
All advertisers present on the opening dates of the schedule of the CANAL+ channel enjoy a C/GRP
guarantee on CANAL+ for conventional purchase1 of each period covered by the schedule opening.
1.2. COMMITTED GUARANTEE
All advertisers including new advertisers who commit in writing to an Invoiced Gross Turnover*
amount on the CANAL+ CHANNELS in 2013 greater than or equal to the 2012 Invoiced Gross
Turnover*, enjoy a committed C/GRP guarantee on the entirety of their conventional purchase1 on
the CANAL+ channel, subsidized in comparison with the 100% guarantee, for the term set out by
the commitment.
There are two possible modes of commitment:
Before 1 January 2013: the commitment must relate to a 2013 annual Invoiced Gross Turnover*
equal to or greater than the 2012 annual Invoiced Gross Turnover*, or to an Invoiced Gross
Turnover* for the first six months of 2013 (1 January 2013 to 30 June 2013) equal to or greater
than the Invoiced Gross Turnover* for the first six months of 2012 (1 January 2012 to 30 June
2012).
Before 1 July 2013: the commitment must relate to a 2013 annual Invoiced Gross Turnover*
equal to or greater than the 2012 annual Invoiced Gross Turnover*.
1.3. DETAILS OF THE GUARANTEES
The guarantee relates to the GRP gross cost indices with a 30" basic rate obtained on the CANAL+
channel as a conventional purchase, product by product, month by month, as a total for all time
segments.
The referent GRP costs are the GRP gross cost indices with a 30" basic rate recorded during the
month on average on the "reference channels"2, in time segments.

2. D8 GUARANTEES
2.1. 100% GUARANTEE
All advertisers present on the opening dates of the schedule of the channel D8 enjoy a C/GRP
guarantee on D8 for conventional purchase1 of each period covered by the schedule opening.
This guarantee is applied from the first euro, on the conventional purchase1 Invoiced Gross
Turnover achieved on the channel D8 by the advertiser for periods covered by schedule openings.
2.2. DETAILS OF THE 100% GUARANTEES:
The guarantee relates to the GRP gross cost indices with a 30" basic rate obtained on the channel
D8 as a conventional purchase, product by product, month by month, as a total for all time
segments.
The referent GRP costs are the GRP gross cost indices with a 30" basic rate recorded during the
month on average on the "reference channels"2, in time segments.

3.5. SECTOR-BASED BLOCKING
An advertiser may request that several varieties in its sector be blocked within a given slot. CANAL+
RÉGIE does not guarantee that this request will be accepted, and remains free to accept or refuse.

Desectorized sector: +50%
3.6. SCHEDULING PRIORITY
Advertisers desiring priority access to the CANAL+ RÉGIE TÉLÉVISION schedule must send
CANAL+ RÉGIE a priority scheduling request by letter, fax or email. CANAL+ RÉGIE does not
guarantee that this request will be accepted, and remains free to accept or refuse.
Supposing that the scheduling priority request has been accepted:
Increase per priority slot: +15%
3.7. "PRIVILEGE" SCHEDULING
Privilege scheduling allows priority access to the schedule of the first, second, antepenultimate and
final positions of the slots of CANAL+ RÉGIE TÉLÉVISION.
Requests for Privilege ads must be sent to CANAL+ RÉGIE before each schedule opening, at the
same time as the other requests for reservation of advertising spaces. These requests shall be
processed in priority before all other offers. CANAL+ RÉGIE does not guarantee that this request
will be accepted, and remains free to accept or refuse.
Supposing that the Privilege scheduling priority request has been accepted:

PRICE TERMS
1. PRICES
CANAL+ RÉGIE publishes the prices of commercial products with details of their period of
application. The list of commercial products is appended to these General Sales Terms and
Conditions.
1.1. COEFFICIENTS FOR EACH FORMAT
Prices are given on the basis of a 30-second format.
For any different duration, a format conversion table is attached in appendix.
1.2. SEASONAL INDICES
Seasonal indices, linked to variations in admissions per month, are taken into account to produce
the estimates provided by the Sales Department.
Seasonal indices corresponding to the campaign dates are applied to the gross price.
Details of the seasonal indices will be provided in a specific communication before the end of 2012.
2. PRICE INCREASES

Channel ident is the transition between the opening credits of the advertising slot and the first image
of the first ad inserted at the start of an advertising slot.

1. VOLUME
A discount paid to every advertiser earning on CANAL+ RÉGIE CINÉMA in 2013 an Invoiced Gross

Turnover* equal to or greater than €80,000.
3. PROFESSIONAL DISCOUNT: -15%
A discount calculated on the Invoiced Gross Turnover*, after deduction of the various reductions
and discounts, and deducted from the monthly invoice.
4. CENTRALISATION DISCOUNT: -5%
A discount calculated on the Invoiced Gross Turnover* after deduction of the various reductions and
discounts, including the professional discount, and deducted from the monthly invoice.
To be able to obtain this discount, an advertiser must use the services of an agent having for every
purchase of advertising space on CANAL+ RÉGIE CINÉMA in 2013 a letter of standing binding it to
its principal according to the template supplied by CANAL+ RÉGIE.

GUARANTEE – INSTREAM VIDEO
CANAL+ RÉGIE publishes several price charts for each of the websites and the periods of
application for the instream video pre-roll format.
The prices of instream video pre-roll formats are provided on a 30-second basis.
Sale of the pre-roll format is based on the number of contacts, with a guaranteed contact cost for
the advertiser. The reference data is cost per thousand video ads broadcast.
For the websites WWW.CANALPLUS.FR, WWW.ITELE.FR, WWW.D8.TV AND WWW.D17.TV, the
contacts are sold under the AEG: Advertising Exposure Guarantee.

For this, an Alenty script is incorporated into the advertising material shown. This script makes it
possible to track the visibility of the advertising material and how long Internet users are exposed to
the advertising material posted on the websites during the campaign.
The tracking of the Advertising Exposure Guarantee is managed and calculated as an average, per
advertising material, on all impressions of the campaign.
An advertising material clicked on is considered exposed for its entire length.
For advertising campaigns programmed in dual pre-roll video + companion display format, tracking
of the Advertising Exposure Guarantee applies to the pre-roll video format but not to the companion
display.
Prices are shown exclusive of VAT and any taxes or charges that may arise from showing the ad.
They include variations and specific discounts.
They apply to ongoing orders. They include the uploading of the campaign, the possibility of
creating a link either to the advertiser’s website or to a promotional website, and the option for the
