Initiation of the Tigers Committee:
This committee was initiated this semester and its mission is to raise health and athletic awareness
within the Mashrek School Community as a whole; to encourage students to become Mashrek Tigers
and to provide the school teams with strong support to develop their skills, team spirit and
sportsmanship.
The 1st committee members were nominated by the school coaches and next year they will be elected by
the Mashrek Tigers.

Table Tennis:
Abdel-Rahman Taha from grade 6 won 2nd place at the grades 5-6 Table Tennis Tournament and
3rd place at the grades 7-9 Tournament.
Chess:
Emadel Dein Al Naser from grade 6 won 2nd place at the grades 5-6 Chess Ministry Competition
(Our First Mashrek Chess Medal).

Girls Volleyball Teams:
Our Senior School Girls Volleyball Team won the Championship at the METS U18 Volleyball
Tournament and they won 2nd place at the Ministry High School Girls Volleyball Tournament. In
addition, they took 3rd place in the 2nd Annual Mashrek Volleyball Tournament.
Furthermore, Reem Al-Maddan and Zaina Al-Taher from the above mentioned team were chosen as
the METS Tournament All-Stars.
Moreover, our U16 Girls Volleyball Team won 2nd place at the METS U16 Volleyball Tournament.
Razan Al-Moghrabi and Zaina Al-Taher were chosen as the Tournament All-Stars.

Girls Track and Field Teams:
Our Senior School Girls Track and Field Team won 2nd place at the Ministry Track and Field
Competition.
The team’s players made great effort and they were very close to 1st first place (They gained 86 points,
only 6 points behind the Champions team).
Boys Track and Field Teams:
Our Senior School Boys Track and Field Team won 2nd place at the Ministry Track and Field
Competition.This team showed great progress since last year.

Boys Volleyball Teams:
Our S.S Boys Volleyball Team won 2nd place at the METS U18 Volleyball Tournament and they
also won 3rd place at the 2nd Annual Mashrek Volleyball Tournament. Unfortunatly, they lost their
semifinal game at the Ministry High School Boys Volleyball Tournament.
This team was nominated by the coaches and referees as the Boys Tournament Sportsmanship
Team. Furthermore, Adel Al-Wazani and Qusai Abu-Shirbe were chosen as the METS Tournament
All-Stars.
Moreover, our U16 Boys Volleyball Team won the Championship at the METS U16 Volleyball
Tournament. Othman Ajjawi and Amjad Al-Jafari were chosen to be Tournament All-Stars.
Adel Al-Wazani won the Best Player Award in this this tournament.

Boys Soccer Teams:
During the 2nd Annual Mashrek Football Tournament for grades 7-9, our soccer team demonstrated
talented young players with good potential. This team won 2nd place at the tournament.
King Abdullah Award:
Our King Abdullah Boys and Gils Teams won the Championships at the Ministry Competition.
The competition concentrates on fitness elements and our players showed a high level of fitness
through achieving the highest standards in most races.
Boys Basketball Team:
Our Senior School Basketball Team showed powerful potential through its games during the
Ministry Competition. However, they lost the semifinal game against last year’s champions with
only 1 point behind.
