Dear Colleagues,
This workshop offers you an experience that no other conference can
match. We provide a comprehensive
overview of major topics in the
catheter therapy of congenital,
structural and valvar heart disease
in children and adults. CSI addresses
the needs of adult and pediatric interventionists, cardiovascular surgeons,
anesthesiologists, imaging specialists,
and colleagues of other disciplines
who wish to know more about the
field. Industry engineers and product
specialists enjoy our format of didactic
and interactive demonstration and
education.
We are very conscious of the huge
innovative contributions made to the
development of intervention devices
and techniques by physicians and
industry in the Asia-Pacific region.
Therefore, we believe it is time to
initiate CSI ASIA-PACIFIC. Our concept
is to facilitate a conference for Asian
colleagues organized by Asian colleagues. The focus should be the needs
in the region – which you are best
placed to advise on. We see our role
in facilitating and encouraging this
process and we are convinced that this
conference will become a major event
for interventionalists in the Asia-Pacific
region and beyond.
The strength of CSI lies in the opportunities provided to you by an extensive
array of live cases. Look forward to
see live transmissions from Thailand,
India, China and Vietnam.CSI provides
the opportunity to share and counsel
opinion from key opinion leaders of
the Asia-Pacific region and indeed the
rest of the world.
The close access to faculty offered
by this conference is unparalleled.
As an attendee you are encouraged
to discuss with the panel and operators during and after the live cases
and lectures. There are also multiple
opportunities to ask questions and
share your viewpoint during Lunch and
Evening Sessions, which offer a more
intimate atmosphere for interaction.
CSI Frankfurt has grown every year
since its foundation back in 1996.
The new CSI Asia-Pacific will offer
you an exciting, informative,
and stimulating educational experience with exposure to the latest
techniques, the newest devices, and
the most experienced interventionists
in the field.
Welcome to CSI Asia-Pacific HCMC!
CSI Asia-Pacific Board of Directors

Welcome Cour se d ir ec tor s
We are honored to welcome
you to the first CSI ASIA-PACIFIC
conference in Ho Chi Minh City!
Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
Dear Guests,
6
For the first time the CSI Asia-Pacific
will be held in Asia and in Ho Chi Minh
City. We feel very honored and look
forward to your visit, as HCMC has
sure to provide an ideal setting for this
high-profile meeting of interventional
cardiologists in the field of structural
and valvular heart disease and congenital heart defects. In return, HCMC
has well developed economically in
recent decades and is now regarded as
the center of trade in Vietnam. Apart
from excellent congress infrastructure
our guests will enjoy our vietnamese
hospitality, various attractions and the
special atmosphere of the city which
will help ensure that participants feel
comfortable here.
Congenital heart defects, structural
and valvular heart disease are among
the groups of patients who will
benefit in the past decades alongside
operational increasingly interventional therapeutic measures especially.
Therefore, a thorough training and
an intensive exchange of experience
among interventional cardiologists
is of great importance. An early and
accurate diagnosis as well as modern
forms of therapy can help patients to
improve the function of their hearts
and thus ensure quality of life.
The commitment of the doctors for
science, education and practice in the
above mentioned fields of heart diseases deserves thanks and recognition.
It is a commitment that ultimately
benefits the patient.
We wish our guests a pleasant stay in
HCMC as well as an interesting and
successful course of congress.
A warm welcome in Ho Chi Minh City!
Hua Ngoc Thuan
Vice President HCMC
