Our team has been designing, building and
operating commercial climbing wall gyms for
well over 17 years.

Ed Fischer, one of the founders of RockCraft
Designs, started The Edge Climbing Center in
Vancouver, British Columbia. In conjunction
with this he developed a risk management
program that has since been followed by
hundreds of climbing gyms throughout North
America.

Ken Crozier, the other founder of RockCraft
Designs, has been distributing commercial
playground equipment through GameTime in
Canada, over 25 years. His experience in
safety, design and installation proved to be
invaluable in RockCraft Designs.


all have many years of personal climbing

boulders.

Our signature “V” Design, ensures that all landings are unimpeded, as in the event of a fall, climbers
will land away from the boulder, onto the safety surfacing. This is contrary to nature and to most
manufactured boulder, which usually resemble a dome or peak style.

Each piece is constructed using a special concrete mix that is handcrafted over a wire mesh and steel
frame.

Each boulder is finished by hand with a sanding stone to ensure they are smooth and contain no
snags for fingers, feet or clothing.

A clear coat sealer applied after painting protects the boulders from the elements and allows graffiti
to be easily removed.

All of our boulders are built for easy installation. Shipped as one complete piece, each boulder is
designed to incorporate a hidden lifting eye or hidden forklift channels in the base.


HAND CRAFTED HOLDS:

By hand troweling each boulder, rather than pulling it from a mold, we are able
to incorporate between 10-12 times as many holds per square surface area than
our competitors .

Hand trowelling also allows us to provide a complete range of holds. Some of
which are not available in a molded boulder. Hold types include:

Our holds are of various sizes to accommodate a wide age range, and both
novice and skilled climbers.
