switch. Monster trucks are equipped with

them in the afterlife, where they would journey to
another world to lead a new life. They also believed
that they would need all of the things they had used

their belongings. When these tombs were discovered,

took seventy days. First, the body was washed and
purified. Then all organs except the heart were
removed (they believed the heart was the center of
intelligence and emotion). Next, they filled the body
with stuffing and then covered it with natron, a saltlike substance that dried the bodies. After 40-50

it. This obviously raised health concerns, and

Notes for Teachers
• These task cards are somewhat unusual in that they do not have to be cut apart,
because the card in the upper left corner is the passage that coincides with the
questions in the remaining three squares on the page. You can choose whether you
want to cut them apart of leave them intact.
• I suggest laminating the cards for extra durability.
• This product includes two answer sheets. You will not need to print both sheets- just
print the one that you want your students to use.
• One is a traditional recording sheet.
• There is also a bonus game-type answer sheet.
