Julia Rabwin of Folsom recently
celebrated her fifth birthday in high
style at Olivia’s Doll House Tea Room
in Carmichael. After choosing the
perfect dress and accessories, then
primping in the beauty parlor, Julia
and her friends enjoyed a fashion
show and a tea party where lemonade masquerades as tea and the fare
is sweet, pink, heart-shaped—or all
of the above.

Olivia’s Doll House Tea Room has
been featured on VH1’s “Fabulous
Life of Celebrity Children,” and last
January, Tara Davis brought some
of that fabulousness to Sacramento
when she opened the first Northern California location. Elegantly
decorated with plush Victorian
carpets, lacey drapes and butterflies,
the fairytale-like Doll House exudes
the warmth and femininity of Tara
herself. Upon meeting her, you
quickly realize this woman was born
to plan pink parties (her car is even
a pink Beetle, complete with tiara
and eyelashes). While her energy is
contagious, save it for another day:
The only finger Julia’s mom, Sylvia
Bruno-Rabwin, had to lift during the
party was her pinky. K
