PRESIDENT’S LETTER
I would like to start by thanking Paul Mohagen for his
past time and effort as the NDABA President. His shoes will
be tough to fill! Thank you Paul! I would also like to thank
Lana Ose and Verla Rostad for taking over the secretary
and treasurer positions. Their roles play a big part of the
association’s success.
I would like to remind everyone about the upcoming
convention on March 18-19, 2010 at the Doublewood Inn
in Fargo. The PPG, Business in the 21st Century, seminar
is also being held. The cost of the seminar is included with
full payment to the NDABA convention. If you choose to
attend only the seminar, there will be a $180.00 fee per
person attending. Save yourself some bucks and attend the
convention and attend the seminar for free! The seminar
registration is included with the NDABA convention
information.
More input from our members is needed for us to continue
with our magazine. If anyone has something they would like
to have included, send a copy to Clyde Nelson, editor, or
myself, and we will submit it for publication. Submissions

As our President, my goal is to
increase attendance and participation,
for both meetings and conventions. I
encourage all members to contact me
with any in-put or suggestions they may have concerning the
NDABA. I may be reached at 701-462-3374 or autobody@

We have some districts that are still not represented. It
would be nice to have someone from an open district, step

state. Let your voice be heard! Times are changing fast and
we need to stay informed of new policies or tech changes
in order to stay on the leading edge of our industry. Our

give it our best shot. Together we will survive! Together we
will make it happen!
See you all at the convention!

11 Ways to Better
an Organization
1. Attend meetings and arrive on time.
2. Although you may not always agree with officers and
members, don’t hold private conversations while they are
speaking.
3. Accept the challenge if appointed to an office – even if it
means a little extra work.
4. If appointed to a committee, or if not appointed, don’t get
sore – there are still other ways to have a positive impact.
5. Be willing to voice opinions in a constructive manner –
don’t wait until after the meeting when it’s too late.
6. Join in when others roll up their sleeves.
7. Pay dues on a timely basis.
8. Put extra effort into finding new members.
9. Be sociable when attending the meetings. You never know
what valuable information other members may be willing
to share.
10.Share your ideas – the benefits will be worth any extra
work they may entail.
11. Spread the word about the organization to non-members.
Given the right information about the organization, they
will believe in it too.
Working together in the most
important work we do.

ND Auto Body Magazine: Clyde
Nelson is wanting to retire from the
magazine. Since he has retired from his
work he says he is out of the loop. He
won’t drop the magazine though until
a replacement has been found. The girl
he works with does an excellent job of
setting it all up. Clyde sells the ads, edits
the information, finds articles and proofs
the magazine. He needs the organization
to send articles and info to put in the
magazine. Please help him keep our
magazine going!!! The deadline for the
next issue is February 15 and it will be
out by March 1st.
Because of other commitments Paul
Mohagen gave his resignation at the
end of the meeting and turned the gavel
over to Eddie Barnhardt. We thank Paul
for all he has done for the organization.
The pre convention meeting of
