The creative workshops and sports activities put teenagers
in authentic communicative situations under CAREL’s supervision.

Teens between 12 and 17 who wish to improve their
French by mixing a language course with cultural and
sports activities.

Multimedia writing: Blogs, Photo-Video
Acquire the basic skills of photography and create
animated movies.
Surf
This activity is run by the Royan Surf Club with fully
qualified professionals.
From beginner’s level to advanced,
students surf at Royan’s Pontaillac
beach or « La Côte sauvage».
take and select pictures,
create simple animations with storyline,
publish your animations on CAREL’s blog.
Supplied equipment: surf gear, wetsuit
and licence.

This course aims at improving communication ability in
French as a foreign language by:
- reinforcing schools assets (grammar, reading, spelling,
etc),
- encouraging communicative interaction in social,
cultural and sports situations,
- discovering French culture in a multinational and
multicultural environment.

Class and workshops take place in a neighbouring
school.

This activity is run by the Royan and Saint-Georges
de Didonne Sailing Clubs with fully qualified
instructors.

Accommodation/catering
ACCOMPANIED TEENAGERS
Students who stay with their parents in Royan may
choose to take only the language class.
Unaccompanied teenagers*
These students must participate in all activities (lunches
included) and stay in a host family (single or double
room, breakfast and dinner, packed lunch for Saturday
excursion, full board on Sunday).

*Unaccompanied juniors: Compulsory enrolment via our

having fun.
Variety of games, ages, levels
guaranteed!
From beginner’s level up to advanced,
students sail catamarans and practise other
types of water sports (Funboard, Funboat).
Each student can work towards a sailing
licence.
