presents a special Franchise Panel
Discussion Thurs. June 25 at East Lyme
Town Hall beginning at 6:30 p.m. If you
are considering a franchising opportunity,
this free panel discussion is a perfect way
for you to find out what’s involved.
The panel will feature several successful
franchise owners, each offering their
viewpoint on what to expect and their
experiences with the process. Questions
are welcome.
The panel will be led by Luc Deslauriers
(FranNet), who has over 30 years of sales
and marketing experience. He is currently
President of FranNet CT/RI, where he has
helped many realize their dream of

Chelsea Groton Foundation
Surpasses $1.9 Million in Giving
The Chelsea Groton Foundation
awarded $111,478 in grants to 62
non-profit organizations from eastern
Connecticut and Southern Rhode Island
this spring. Inclusive of these donations,
the Foundation has provided over $1.9
million in total grants to the community
since 1999.
Springtime grant awards included:
$7,500 to the Covenant Shelter of New
London, Inc. to help the homeless move
into permanent housing; $5,000 to the
Center for Hospice Care SE CT which will
help provide care to patients without
insurance; $3,000 to the Children’s
Museum of SE CT in Niantic to accommodate children regardless of mobile ability;
and many more.
Each year, Chelsea Groton Bank and the
Chelsea Groton Foundation support more
than 200 local organizations through
monetary gifts, grants, sponsorships,
scholarships and employee volunteerism.
