Sexual harassment will not be tolerated and will be grounds for disciplinary ac3on. —  The university prohibits any retaliatory ac3on against an employee for opposing an ac3on that he or she believes to be sexual harassment, including the filing of an internal complaint or grievance or a charge with a state or federal civil rights enforcement agency. —  Each unit will provide training for its employees on what cons3tutes sexual harassment and will provide a procedure to handle complaints of sexual harassment and other complaints of discrimina3on. FERPA is an acronym for the Family EducaIonal Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, also known as the Buckley Amendment. This federal enactment establishes the legal parameters governing access to and release of student educa3onal records. —  Who has FERPA rights? All students aeending or who previously aeended, a college or university, regardless of age, have FERPA rights. ‘Aeending students’ include admieed students, students in residence, con3nuing educa3on students, students audi3ng only, and distance educa3on students. FERPA does NOT apply to applicants who have not been admieed to the ins3tu3on. —  Basically, FERPA has six basic requirements of colleges and universiIes: 1. 
Students must be annually no3fied of their FERPA rights. 2. 
Students must be allowed to review their educa3on records. 3. 
Students must be allowed to request to amend their educa3on records, with limited excep3ons. 4. 
Students must be allowed to limit disclosure of personally iden3fiable informa3on contained in their educa3on records. 5. 
The college or university must undertake reasonable efforts to ensure that third par3es do not re-­‐disclose personally iden3fiable informa3on and that the informa3on is u3lized by third par3es only for its intended purpose. 6.
