Opportunity
In a business climate that’s growing increasingly
more competitive, complex and unpredictable, the
only constant is change. It is within the ambit of this
dynamic
and
vibrant
environment
that
organizations are looking for people who know how
to take positive steps to solve problems and
provide leadership. Academic Program in MSU
Graduate Management Centre provides students
with the skills to answer these needs and to build
successful careers.
Aims of Graduate School of Management
MSU Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program is
focused on identifying solutions, making them work and
evaluating the consequences of those actions. Students
acquire skills for effective leadership — skills that will help
them to identify challenges and opportunities; draw on the
latest technology and information; use advanced
analytical and planning approaches, and execute plans
for positive change. Businesses need leaders who can act
prudently and realistically in dealing with change. Most
appropriately therefore GSM's curriculum embraces
elements that endorse problem solving and leadership.
Continued…
In the MBA Program, students develop knowledge
and skills for business problem analysis, team and
group leadership and the implementation of
effective
solutions.
Students
develop
competencies in critical thinking, persuasive
communication,
systems
thinking,
change
management, leadership, diversity and business
ethics. The MBA Program can enhance students’
current or future career potential, and prepare
them for postgraduate work in business
Curriculum
Our curriculum has a three-tiered focus. It examines
current theories, practices, and issues in business
research methods. It also studies the relation-ships
between business in the private and public sectors
in the context of social and global issues. We
believe that the MBA students must be adept in all
these areas, to be successful contributors to the
expansion of knowledge and the improvement of
business, in the private and public sectors. Without
doubt, this program encourages you to accept the
added responsibility of a shared professional
commitment towards the advancement of your
profession.
