 Press release September 2015 Joli Rouge by Clarins, its gold version by Axilone Up to now the Joli Rouge lipstick by Clarins has been commercialised in a shiny silver anodised tube, but soon it will turn to anodised gold. Axilone, a major player in the lipstick sector, has been asked to redesign the whole range of packaging for Joli Rouge: the lipstick for sale, testers, false lipsticks, and miniature lipsticks. The lipstick hydrates and plumps for full, soft and supple lips, and will be available around the world in 25 shades come the autumn. A new generation lipstick Already a partner with Clarins for the skincare sector, Axilone now signs its first collaboration with the Brand in the domain of makeup. For this launch Axilone decided to bring technical and aesthetic innovations to the product. For example: the base of the lipstick tube has a standard but non-­‐lubricated mechanism; the adjustment and movement of the parts is such that adding silicone has no useful effect; no adhesive or glue is used to assemble the parts which make up the base. Another example is the lipstick tube cap for the version for sale, which has a leaf decoration, the signature of the Clarins makeup range: Axilone provided the solution for the decoration internally by using a special stamping technique. Red and gold The lipstick for sale and the false versions are made from aluminium which has been anodised shiny gold. The tube base has an insert in ABS and a baseplate cap in translucent red SAN. The ultimate in elegance, the lipstick for sale has a tube cap with steel ballast and an interior decorated with an insert in red ABS with the logo C for Clarins engraved at the bottom. When you put the cap back on the tube it closes with a click, due to a special skirt at the top of the cap. The « C » for Clarins is engraved in the hollow of the leaf decoration on the cap. The lipstick for sale is 3.5g. The miniature version is a very good copy of the for sale model, made completely in red ABS, with a shiny gold metal and UV varnish finish. The lipstick is available in two reference colours (1.5g). The tester has a metal finish base which is then clipped on to a PCTA block (not provided by Axilone), which is mass-­‐coloured to the shade of the lipstick. The transport cap is in thermoformed transparent PP. Each article has 2 Clarins logos screen printed in gold.
