Hey Black Child,
Do you know who you are?
Who you really are?
Do you know you can be
What you want to be?
If you try to be
what you can be.
Hey Black Child,
'R\RXNQRZZKHUH\RX·UHJRLQJ"
:KHUH\RX·UHUHDOO\JRLQJ"
Do you know you can learn
What you want to learn?
If you try to learn
What you can learn?
Hey Black Child,
Do you know you are strong?
I mean really strong?
Do you know you can do
What you want to do?
If you try to do
What you can do?
Hey Black Child,
Be what you can be
Learn what you must learn
Do what you can do
And tomorrow your nation will be what you want it to
be.
Dear Kimberly Parents, Students, and Families,
I am excited to be the new Assistant Principal at L.O. Kimberly
(OHPHQWDU\,DPORRNLQJIRUZDUGWREHLQJDSDUWRI.LPEHUO\·V
long history of success and accomplishments.
Originally from Beaumont, Texas, I came to Atlanta to attend
6SHOPDQ&ROOHJHZKHUH,UHFHLYHGD%DFKHORU·V'HJUHH,FRQ
WLQXHGRQDQGUHFHLYHGD0DVWHU·V'HJUHHDVZHOODVD6SHFLDOLVW
Degree in Educational Leadership and Supervision.
Although I am new to the Kimberly faculty and staff, I am not
new to the Southwest community. As a Southwest Atlanta resident for over twenty years, I have a vested interest in the vitality and progress of this community. In addition to residing in this community, I have taught
and held leadership roles in several schools within this same area as well. I am excited to bring
my past years of experience to partner with each of you as we continue to serve the students of
Kimberly Elementary.
As an educational leader, I firmly believe that effective communication and problemsolving skills are essential to prepare our learners to succeed in the future. To achieve this, I am
passionate about fostering learning environments that are rigorous, student-centered, collaborative and innovative. Ultimately, I want to ensure your child receives the highest quality education. I am a strong believer in the home-school-community connection. I would love to meet you
and I welcome emails, phone calls and/or visits the next time you are in the building.
I feel honored and privileged to join the Kimberly community. I believe teamwork and
open communication are very important and know that together we will continue to ensure a positive and productive learning environment for our students. I am thrilled to help support the students, parents, teachers and community of Kimberly Elementary, and I look forward to meeting
and working with each of you.
Are You
Late?
