Tele Lumiere Celebrates the Army 65th Anniversary
On the occasion of the Army 65th anniversary,

Wehbé (of Tele Lumiere Music Academy), the 1st
Adjutant Mohammad al-Khatib (of the Army Band),
the Choir of Tele Lumiere Music Academy at Pierre
Abou Khater Theatre- USJ, Damascus Road. The
attendance encompassed respectively the Representatives of the Army Commander General Jean
Qahwaji, the ISF General Director Major General Ashraf Rifi, the General Director of the
General Security Major General Wafiq Jezzine, the Gendarmerie Chief Brigadier General Antoine Chakkour: Brigadier General Ghassan Abou Faysal, Colonel Abdo Barbari, Lieutenant Colonel Elias Abou Rjeily, Captain Elie Mikhael, in addition to
Tele Lumiere General Secretary Dr. Antoine Saad and a large crowd of army officers, the families of the army
martyrs and social, cultural figures.
The ceremony began with the Lebanese National Hymn performed by the Lebanese Army Band led by Colonel George Herro. The
ceremony presenter Jeanne- D’arque Abi Yaghi delivered a speech: “On
your 65th anniversary, officers and members of the military institution, Tele
Lumiere and its satellite Noursat are proud of you and your national role.
We bow to the sacrifices of your martyrs, why not, after this institution gave
men who marked, with their heroic national achievements the Lebanese history.”
Abi Yaghi concluded addressing to the homeland of Cedars: “You
homeland of the Cedars, we pledge today on the anniversary of your brave army that whatever the life’s storms were strong, we will always
support the army that we consider Lebanon’s target and salvation.”
Then, Tele Lumiere Secretary General Dr. Antoine Saad stated, in the name of the TV administration: … Within Tele
Lumiere, we feel concerned and deeply committed to this anniversary till addiction, because we trust the Army as much as Lebanon. Because the TV station is, like our homeland, a message of endless love and dialogue… the Lebanese Army is special because Lebanon is
so… Having three emblems, this army plays also three roles… It protects the land entirely, is the symbol of our unity and attachment to our
homeland, preserving and contributing to the history of Lebanon, the civilization. Furthermore, the Army carries its mission and is entrusted with its heritage and sublime values notably love, the peak of love the human being’s sacrifice for others… The blood of our martyrs
sated the green Cedars, colored our flag in red and filled our white mountains with peace.”
