The workshop is a blend of presentation, interaction, and hands-­‐on practice, supported by the book, Visual Teams: Graphic Tools for Commitment, Innovation & High Performance. David will demonstrate new tools for visualizing on-­‐line with tablets, Prezi, and graphic templates. Visualization is used throughout to both explain best practices for teams, and to understand essential team dynamics. OBJECTIVES OF THE WORKSHOP • Orient participants to the power of the Team Performance System as a way to think about teamwork across an organization. • Learn how to use Visual Meetings methods to start up a team. • Experience a real team challenge and how to use the Team Model to analyze • Appreciate the success factors involved in high performance teams. • See how to use visual web conferences for virtual team meetings. • Practice action planning using a Graphic Guide. • Learn about what Team Performance tools are available for further use. Participants will look at seven essential tools for being a visual leader, share success models, learn some helpful personal visualization practices, and learn approaches for working with visual practitioners in skillful ways. The session will be interactive and hands-­‐on, with some assessments of preferences in mental models, familiarity with different types of new media, and play with visual frameworks for thinking about the type of organization you lead and how you can lead change in that organization with more skillful use of visualization techniques.
