Welcome to Pryor Fine Art and to the second edition of our catalog series
featuring the Summer and Fall exhibits of 2012.
JUNE & JULY
FLORA AND FAUNA: INTERPRETATIONS of ALL THINGS LIVING IN NATURE.
If an artist brings elements of nature into the focus of their work, we are able to see what they see, feel their
interpretation, and glean a new insight and appreciation for the ordinary botanicals and creatures in our midst.
Flora and Fauna presents a wide array of artist’s expressions that allow us to connect to nature through the eyes of
an artist. With great pleasure we introduce for the first time the works of two new artists, Myong Stebbins and Matt
Flint. Also showing new work will be Atlanta artist Tracey Lane. Tracey is a master of nature as subject as is evident in
her paintings of trees, birds, flowers, and a new addition...bees. Saliha Staib, Ryan Coleman, France Jodoin, Christy
Kinard, Liz Dexheimer, Elise Morris, Kenson, Meredith Pardue, and Todd Alexander will also take part in this show.
AUGUST & SEPTEMBER
BARING THE SOUL: A FIGURATIVE EXPLORATION
In this show we are exploring how artists communicate, with or without intention, their deepest and often
subconscious feeling about themselves. This revealing of self is particularly apparent in the works of two new artists
Jason Myers and Cynthia Knapp. Brigitte McReynolds, who took a break for two years, is back with a body of work
that shares her personal journey and triumph through a difficult time. Jason Myers’ strong use of color and dramatic
pose of the figure can be seen in his paintings and mixed media work (take note of the Myself Series wherein he
layers resin with oil paint to a truly amazing finish). Other artists exhibiting new work in this show are Sherri Bellasen,
Kim Frohsin, Ursula O'Farrell, Lou Schneiderman, Kate Long Stevenson, Susie Pryor, and Felice Sharp.
OCTOBER
MODERN MASTERS of CONTRAST, COMPOSITION and FORM
The Fall show is a spectacular three person show featuring well known southern artist dennis campay, Canadian
artist Andre Petterson, and west coast artist Elena Zolotnitsky.
