Care and Maintenance
When connected to 3M Jupiter or 3M Dustmaster Powered Air Turbo Units, the 3M Speedglas 9000 Welding Shield provides eye, face and
respiratory protection for increased comfort and safety for welders.
To maintain protection levels, optimise the effective lifetime of the system and avoid the additional cost of replacement, it
is extremely important to carry out regular checks and maintenance on Powered and Supplied Air Respirators.
Before Use
• Inspect inner and outer protection plates
and filter glass. Replace if cracked, pitted
or scratched
After Use
• Clean with cloth dampened with a mild
solution of detergent and luke warm
water
• Ensure low battery indicator is not
flashing
• Store in a dry, clean area / locker away
from direct sunlight, high temperatures
and solvents
• Inspect headband.
Replace if damaged
• Verify the sweatband is in place.
Replace if necessary
