th
Welcome to the 28 Annual
North Kingstown Father’s
Day Classic Soccer
Tournament
June 15th – 16th, 2013
North Kingstown, RI
Message from the North Kingstown Soccer Association
To Players, Coaches, and Parents,
On behalf of the North Kingstown Father’s Day Tournament Committee, the
North Kingstown Soccer Association and the Town of North Kingstown, it is a
pleasure to welcome you to the 28th Annual North Kingstown Father’s Day Classic.
The tournament committee worked very hard to be sure that your experience with
us this weekend will be a great one.
We are hosting 124 teams from across Southern New England, including
several new clubs from RI, CT and MA. We thank all of the players, coaches and
parents for joining us this weekend.
Hosting a tournament is not possible without the assistance and support of
many people. We would like to thank all the volunteers and sponsors who have
come forward to assist us in many ways. Special thanks to the following
organizations who continue to support youth soccer and this tournament every
year: North Kingstown Recreation Department, North Kingstown School
Department, North Kingstown Buildings & Grounds Department, North Kingstown
Police and Fire Departments, and the Friends of Middle School Soccer.
Finally, as you enjoy the games and facilities, please remember that
competition is for fun, and close games can be great fun, but in the end it is a
game, and a means by which kids and teams test themselves. Please help us all to
enjoy the games to the fullest by displaying respect for opponents, the referees
and each other. Good sportsmanship is one of the most important lessons the
players can learn, so we ask that you set the right example.
The committee welcomes your feedback. Please let us know what you liked about
the tournament and let us know how we can improve your NKFDC experience!
