As a chamber musician, Johannes has worked
with many reputed artists, notably Christian
Altenburger, Rainer Küchl, Sergey Malov,
Reinhard Latzko, Cédric Pescia and Veronika
Trisko. He has also been invited to numerous
festivals, such as the “International Musicians
Seminar Prussia Cove”, the “Europäischen
Kulturtagen Frankfurt”, the “Attersee Klassik”,
the “Festival Pablo Casals de Prades” and
the “Steirische Kammermusik Festival”, and
he has performed in famous concert halls,
such as the Wiener Musikverein, the Wiener
Konzerthaus, the great hall of the Tchaikovsky
Conservatory in Moscow, the Brucknerhaus
Linz, the Carnegie Hall, the Santory Hall in
Tokyo and the Flagey Studio in Brussels.
In 2014/15, alongside their debut at the Wiener
Musikverein, the duo will undertake several
concert tours to Colombia, Mexico, Japan,
Lebanon, Turkey, Tunisia, Kenya, Spain and the
USA. In addition, they were also selected by the
Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs as ambassadors for the NASOM «New Austrian Sound of
Music» program for 2014-2015. Due to their „outstanding chamber music performance“, Raskin
& Fleischmann won the „Piano Chamber Music
Award“ at the ISA-Festival 2014.
Besides numerous engagements as a soloist
and chamber musician, Johannes Fleischmann regularly guests with celebrated orchestras such as the Vienna Philharmonic
Orchestra. He has thus had the opportunity
to work closely with outstanding personalities like Daniel Barenboim, Sir Colin Davis,
Valery Gergiev, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Lorin
Maazel, Zubin Meht a , R icc ardo Mu ti,
Georges Prêtre, Sir Simon Rattle and Christian
Thielemann.
Johannes Fleischmann has also been invited
to take part in radio and television programmes by the ORF (the Austrian State Broadcasting Service), Ö1, Radio Stephansdom and the
National Radio of Slovenia.
In 2010 he founded, together with pianist
Philippe Raskin, the “Raskin & Fleischmann”
duo in which they made their debut in Vienna,
November 2010. Since then, they have performed numerous concerts in Europe, Africa, the
Middle East, South and North America.

Born in Vienna in 1983, Johannes Fleischmann
learned to play his first instrument when he
was 5. After graduating from the „Musikgymnasium“ in Vienna, he founded the „o(h)!-ton
Ensemble, Wien“ in 2003. The same year, he
was admitted to the University of Music and
the Performing Arts of Vienna, where he attended the classes of Klaus Maetzl and Christian Altenburger, graduating with distinction
in 2011.
Johannes Fleischmann went on to specialise
in chamber music with Johannes Meissl and
Hatto Beyerle. He further perfected his art in
masterclasses by Miguel da Silva, Wolfgang
David, Evgenia Epshtein, Erich Höbarth, Rainer
Honeck, Patrick Jüdt, András Keller, Peter
Nagy, Ruggiero Ricci and András Schiff.
