Friday
Check into your resort for the weekend and hit the
pool/beach for a little fun before enjoying dinner at
one of the many restaurants around the lake.
Saturday
Kick off the weekend on horseback! Onamia offers horseback riding lessons and
guided rides. Enjoy a picnic lunch at Onamia Municipal Park, then take the short drive
to Kathio State Park where you can hike up the Observation Tower for an unbeatable
view. Make your way up the shoreline for dinner at Grand Casino, and settle in for a
night of fun entertainment.

Sunday
Don’t miss the morning bite! Guided fishing trips or launches are
your best bet when searching for a whopper. Grab lunch lakeside,
then head to one of the area’s highly rated golf courses for a quick
9 before heading home.
Do a lifetime.
Monday
There’s no better way to start your vacation than by snagging a trophy fish. Hop on a half-day
fishing launch and try your luck at hooking some of the monster walleye, bass, muskie and
perch Lake Mille Lacs has to offer. On your way back through Garrison, be sure to take a
photo next to the famed 15-foot walleye statue. It’s a must-see for visitors of all ages!
Tuesday
Relax and enjoy Grand Casino’s games, entertainment and dining. With two restaurants, a giant
buffet and a shop for sweet treats, there’s something to please everyone’s taste buds.While you’re
there, visit the nearby Mille Lacs Indian Museum and Trading Post to learn about the history of
the area, and participate in Ojibwe-inspired craft workshops.
Wednesday
Beach day! Head to Father Hennepin State Park and relax at the area’s most pristine beach.
With a quarter-mile of sandy shoreline, Father Hennepin State Park features a large swimming
area, two boat accesses, fishing piers and picnic sites with panoramic views of the massive
132,516-acre Lake Mille Lacs.

Thursday
Tucked along the southern shoreline of Lake Mille Lacs, Wahkon Bay is the perfect spot for
paddleboarding, canoeing and swimming. If biking or ATVing is more your thing, hop on
the Soo Line Trail (11 miles paved, 126-miles total) which runs nearby.
Friday
Spend the day on the golf course, eat dinner lakeside, then unwind at DeCorsa Vineyard and
Farm Winery in Isle. Housed in a beautiful barn built in the 1920s, the winery is run solely on
solar and wind power. Be sure to visit for a truly one-of-a-kind experience.
