Unique Venues
Government House
enues in St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra and the Beaches provide an array of
backdrop options for your special event. Many of these locations are not
your typical venue and have been listed separately for your convenience.
Located in the heart of historic downtown St. Augustine
adjacent to Flagler College and the Casa Monica Hotel. It is
listed on the National Register of Historic Places with a history
dating to the City’s earliest days. Several rooms are available
within Government House for event rentals, but the Sala de
Montiano and its adjoining courtyard are ideal for weddings
and receptions with a capacity of 120 people and an outdoor
stage. The courtyard is enclosed by a coquina wall and

THE Lightner Museum
The Lightner Museum is housed in the former Alcazar
Hotel, which was built in 1888 by Henry Morrison Flagler
to complement the luxurious Ponce de Leon Hotel as an

• The license is good for 60 days from the effective date and
can be used anywhere in the state of Florida.
We’ll provide transportation to and from your wedding events
on board our Wedding Train. Our Red or Black Trains seat 56
comfortably and you can reserve multiple trains if needed.
Wedding Trains can travel within most of St. Augustine’s city
limits. Your guests will enjoy the sites of our historic city, they’ll
all arrive on time and together, and none of them will have to
worry about finding a parking spot or getting lost. Your train
may be available early the day of the event for decorations. We
can provide the music, or we’ll play what you provide for us.

Who can marry you?
Any notary, Judge, Priest, Ordained Minister, or Deputy Clerk.
If you wish to be married at the court house, just bring your
marriage license back with you within the eligible time frame.

Marriages Offshore
To be legal, vows must be exchanged within three miles of
the shore.
Changing your name?
If you change your name, be sure to tell Drivers License Bureau,
Social Security and your employer. To get a new Social Security
card, you’ll need identification that shows your old name and
your new name, such as a marriage certificate or divorce decree.
If you were born outside the U.S., you will also need proof of U.S.
citizenship or that you are living in the U.S. legally. The new card
sent to you will have your new name and the same number. Call
Social Security at 1-800-772-1213 for more information.

Fly or Drive to St. Augustine
Though St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra on Florida’s Historic
Coast is a world away from average, you needn’t travel far to
envelop yourself in its history and luxury. The area is less than
two hours away from most major Florida cities, including
Jacksonville, Daytona Beach, Gainesville and Orlando.
Savannah, Georgia, and Florida’s capitol, Tallahassee, are less
than four hours from our shores.
