ZAC AGM AND GAHAMBAR
The Annual General Meeting was held on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at the Zoroastrian Center in Westminster. Rhoda and Noshir Lakdawalla sponsored the gahambar in memory of their dear parents, and ZAC
extends a big thank you to them for their generosity. We gathered at 3:30 p.m. for a jashan at the Center
which was followed by a social hour of chasni and chit-chat. Thank you to our mobeds who prayed in the
jashan – Zarrir Bhandara, Zerksis Bhandara, Darius Bhadha and Maneck Bhujwala.
We waited for an hour before convening the meeting as we did not have a quorum. Ervad Zarrir Bhandara
gave a benediction prior to the start of the meeting. Many topics were discussed and covered during the
meeting which included an update on potential property for our new Center (see back page for more information) and information about our upcoming Youth Show.
The committee and several members thanked Phiroz Tarapore for auditing our accounts and he agreed to
continue as Auditor for 2009. Noshir Jesung agreed to serve as Election Officer for 2009.
The General Body Meeting adjourned at 8:10 p.m. after which we all enjoyed a delicious dinner of gravy
cutlets, palav dar and papeta-pur-eeda which was prepared by Sheila Madon. Many thanks to Sheila for
the delicious food which we all devoured with gusto. Dinner was followed by mouth watering kulfi which
Rhoda Lakdawalla provided and which was relished by everyone.
The evening ended with the warmth of good food and good friends – what could be better!

How YOU can Help!!
The Youth Show and Natak is a project where traditionally the community comes together and works for
a common goal. Many talented youth and the older generations work together and put up a show that
could take your breath away. Not to mention the fact that some of our past performers have gone on to
do exceptionally well on stage in the performing arts. They all had training and humble beginnings. Some
in the community have worked tirelessly behind the scenes for many years and given their support to this
event. Come and be a part of this community. We need your support.
They also SERVE! Volunteers are needed to help with various tasks. Please find a way to volunteer.
Volunteer to help prepare for the Show:
Sell tickets to Family and Friends (Gujus love to see Parsi Nataks).
Buy tickets – Even if you cannot come to the show, lend your support by buying tickets of any denomination and donate them through ZAC. Call Burjor Santoke 714-963-1301
Sell Sponsorships/Advertising using copies of the attached information.
Talk to your favorite restaurants, business owners or even your BOSS and try and get them to buy an Ad
or be a Sponsor. You can even send out the sponsorship or advertising forms by email
Call Tehmi Damania 949-583-9973 to volunteer or for ideas, forms and information.
Volunteer to help at the Venue:
Before – Ticket Sales and will call, Set-up, transportation, hand out program books, Sell Food and soft
drinks.
Intermission – Sell food and soft drinks.
After – Clear-up, break-down and transportation.
We need people with Vans, Trucks to help bring certain props and to bring food to the venue.
Live close to the Venue? We need people who live close to the venue to help out with props for the show
(sofas, arm chairs, tables, plants, shelves, etc.).

Important Property Information
As announced in the AGM, it seems the Hall Committee may have identified a parcel in Anaheim which would be ideally
suited to our future ZAC Hall. The best part of this is the fact that it is very centrally located for the whole community,
in Anaheim and the added advantage is that being land, we can build a perfect place to suit our needs. This is a rare opportunity that needs your attention. We request members to make an effort and visit the property and give your feedback
to Vira 714-963-1301 or Tehemtan Arjani at 818-545-8161. A special meeting will be announced in due course to seek the
community’s approval
The property is 1825 W. Orange Avenue, Anaheim, CA off the 5 Fwy at Euclid.
