2) Make sure that your game is fully working BEFORE installing our Savekit.
3) Turn off the Power of the cab. We highly recommend to remove the boardset from
your cab. It is much easier to work on a bright big workbench with lots of space instead of
the dark cabinet.
Before removing the boardset, please remember or label any connector as you disconnect
the board for hooking up later. Also take note of the edge-connector. I suggest taking
pictures with your smartphone.
4) Remove the game-board and locate the Z80-CPU at location 7/8 A as well as the GFXROMS at Locations 1C, 1E, 1F and 1J.
5) Check and remember Pin1 of the CPU. (See Picture below)
6) Carefully remove the CPU.
7) Locate the GFX-ROMS (check picture at Step 4 for an overview)
8) Carefully remove the old GFX-ROMS – they are not needed anymore
9) Now insert the small gfx-daugtherboard into the two of the 4 empty sockets in the middle
(location 1E,1F). Make sure that the daughterboard is oriented correctly and the pins fit all
into the sockets. Please carefully check out the following pictures for details:
10) Insert the CPU into the daughterboard. Make sure Pin1 of the CPU is oriented to correctly
match Pin1 on the board. (see pic below, your cpu might differ)
offline kit
online kit
if you have a offline-KIT, you can go on with step #11
THIS IS FOR THE ONLINE KIT ONLY:
it is useful to remove the ethernet pcb to insert the z80 CPU.
10a) take a look at the following pictures:
1) loose the left screw shown on the pic
2) remove the right screw including spacer and nut
3) carefully turn the ethernet pcp clockwise until the z80 socket can be reached
easily
4) carefully insert the z80 cpu into the socket Make sure that pin 1 of the CPU matches
pin 1 of the socket
5) turn the ethernet pcb to the former position and insert the spacer and screw down
tight the ethernet pcb
11) Insert daughter-board into the cpu-socket of the board where the CPU chip was removed
from. Make sure Pin1 of the daughter-board is oriented to correctly match Pin1 on the
board. (see Pin1 orientation at step 4 and 5 - below is a sample picture and not from a
bagman board)

12) now connect the flat cable from the Savekit / Onlinekit daughterboard with the GFX
daughterboard. The plug only fits in the correct orienation into the socket. Please check the
following pictures for details

13) Double-Check your work.
14) Powerup the game and enjoy!
If the game does not start, turn power off immediately, double check your work and read the
troubleshooting website.
