Demo Derby Regulation and Competition Rules
The following rules APPLY to ALL DRIVERS and ALL cars entered in ALL classes
1. All drivers and entrants to the pit area must be 16 years of age or older. Drivers
must have a valid driver‟s license and complete and official entry form. All
entrants to the pit area will be required to sign a waiver and provide valid picture
I.D. Drivers and pitman under the age of 18 will be required to provide a
notarized waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian. (Form also available
online.)
2. The Isanti County Fair reserves the right to accept or reject any entry. Your paid
entry will allow the driver and vehicle entrance to the pit area the day of your
event. All others will pay a $20 pit entry fee. There will be no refund of entry fees
or pit entrance fee for any reason. NO CHANGING OF CLASSES OR
REGISTERED DRIVER WITHOUT AUTORIZATION.
3. Numbers will be reserved on a first-come/first-serve basis when paid entry is
received.
4. Only ONE support vehicle allowed in pit area per vehicle entered.
5. Pit gates open at 1pm. Please enter off of Country Rd #2. Vehicle inspection
closes 30 minutes prior to the start of the race. It is recommended that you be at
the fairgrounds at least 2 hours prior to the event. All cars must be ready to run
prior to final inspection.
6. Pit meeting will be held 15 minutes before the start of the derby. All drivers and
pit people are required to attend. If you do not attend – you will not run.
7. Helmets, seat belts, eye protection, and long pants are MANDTORY – long
sleeve shirt is recommended. If you are using a face shield on you helmet, it is
recommended that you have glasses or goggles with you in addition. Any driver
not wearing eye protection while competing will be IMMEDIATELY
DISQUALIFIED NO EXCEPTIOS, NO WARNINGS, and NO 2nd CHANCES.
8. NO intentional hitting of driver‟s door.
9. NO USE of starting fluid during competition will be allowed.
10. You will be allowed to restart after 1st fire (provided it is a small one) – 2nd one
will result in disqualification.
11. Any vehicle or driver that is deemed unsafe will be disqualified. Official‟s
decisions are FINAL.
12. Derby officials reserve the right to inspect or re-inspect any vehicle, at any time,
for any reason with no refunds for disqualification.
13. You may protest another vehicle prior to the pit meeting. $100 protest fee must be
paid prior to any re-inspection. Both the protested vehicle and the one making the
protest will be re-inspected. If nothing is found the protester loses the $100 and
$50 goes to the protested vehicle and $50 to the fair. If the protest is found correct,
protester will get the $100 back and the protested vehicle will have to comply
with the rules or be subjected to disqualification.
No unsportsmanlike conduct will be tolerated. This includes drivers and pitman.
Drivers are reminded that they are responsible for the conduct of their pit people. Any
harassment of Fair board or derby officials will result in disqualification, loss of any
awards and/or prize money and possible ejection.
ABSOLUTELY NO DRIGS OR ALCOHOL ALLOWED IN
PITS OR OUTSIDE ALCOHOL ALLOWED ON GROUNDS
Any driver or pitman observed using or under the influence of either, before or during
the demo derby, will disqualify that vehicle and driver with loss of any awards and/or
prize money and will be escorted from the pit area by the Isanti County Sheriff’s
Department.
General Rules
The following rules on vehicle preparation APPLY to all cars.
Please see individual class rules for modifications or variations allowed. Please make
sure you are following the rules for your class.
1. No team driving and holding allowed. This could result in disqualification
and loss of entry fee. Judges decision is final.
2. You must make an aggressive/under power hit with in 1 minute. You will have 1
minute to make a hit or you will be counted out. When we get in the placing, if 2
cars make a hit against each other then do not make another hit, it will be called a
tie. Prize money will be added together and split in half and coin flips for the
trophy. Last one moving/running does not count.
3. If you end up on the wall (drive on or pushed on) you have 1 minute to get off and
make a hit. We will NOT stop the race and get you off the wall. The only
exception is for a safety situation, it will be the flagmen‟s decision.
4. All glass, plastic, metal trip, and „anything that may fall off‟ in the arena must be
removed prior to entering the fair grounds. Any vehicle spilling glass will be
immediately disqualified.
5. All flammable including carpet, rear seats, headliners, and door panels must be
removed excluding the driver‟s door panel for driver‟s safety. Dash is optional.
6. All vehicles must have working brakes.
7. For your safety, please disable air bags.
8. All vehicles MUST HAVE A HIGHLY VISABLE SIGN ON ROOF displaying
your assigned number or you will not be allowed to enter the arena. Sign must be
at least 18” X 18”. In additions, car number must also be displayed on each side
door. Since this is a one-day show, there will be no duplicate numbers issued for
any reason. Numbers will be assigned on a first come/first serve basis so if you
want a specific number, get your entry in early. Drivers door Recommended to
BE PAINTED WHITE with your car number in a contrasting color. If you car is
white or a light color, please paint driver‟s door a contrasting color. I.e. red or
orange.
9. Battery(s) may be moved to front seat area and must be covered. Battery must be
secured by CHAINS OR BOLTS. No plastic boxes, sheet metal screws, ratchet
straps, plumbers tape, or bungee straps. Highly recommended to use a secure
(Steel) box welded/bolted to the floor and then strapped in and covered. May
be two automotive batteries or one large industrial battery.
10. Stock gas tank must be removed and a STEEL CONTAINER with a capacity of
NO MORE THAN 6 GALLONS must be secured behind the driver‟s seat,
center of the rear seat area or center of front of box in pick-ups. Cover gas tank
with non-flammable material. Tanks must be secured by CHAINS OR BOLTS.
No sheet metal screws, ratchet straps, plumbers tape, or bungee straps. Fuel
lines must be run through interior of vehicle. Leave at least 5” clearance
around fuel lines where it runs through firewall or cab wall in trucks. Any car
with loose gas tank or leaking gas will be immediately disqualifies.
11. All doors must be secured. No duct tape until after final inspection. Please see
individual class rules for methods.
12. All hoods must have a minimum 12” X 12” hole cut in center of hoot. Two holes
on each side of the hood will be acceptable. Stacks or headers are allowed in all
classes.
13. Tranny coolers are allowed in all classes. Must be secured by bolts or chains and
shielded from the driver. Must use metal, steel braided or approved transmission
lines. No rubber fuel or low pressure lines.
14. Water and/or ice only! No Anit-Freeze allowed. If judges smell or find it during
race, you will be disqualifies.
15. IF running a radiator fan, must have/leave hood over fan compartment.
16. Please remove trailer hitches and any bracing that accompanies hitch.
17. TIRES: Please see individual classes for spect on tires. Please remove wheel
weights.
OFFICIALS WILL HAVE THE FINAL SAY ON TIRES
1980 and Newer Full Size Chain Stock & Open Stock
1980 and Newer &1978 and Newer GM Metric Cars
This is a chain stock class. Don’t do it because it doesn’t say you can’t. Every effort
has been made to make these rules clear. Every car will be inspected by the rules and to
a check list to make it as fair as possible.
1. NO Frame repair‟s allowed unless you call Rick 920-410-2008
2. Cars will be quarantined after inspection until your heat. You will be given about
10-15 minutes to add ice and be ready for your heat.
3. ALL winners will be re-inspected, if any illegal additions or alterations are found,
you will be disqualified.
4. Open hood Inspection Required, or you don‟t run! Open trunk preferred, if it can‟t
open make sure we can see in or a 8” minimum hole in trunk lid. If it‟s
questionable, you may have to cut inspection holes.
5. NO engine cradles, tranny braces, DP protectors.
6. Slider shafts are allowed.
7. Electric fuel pumps, headers, floor shifter, hotwire allowed.
8. Modified steering columns allowed.
9. May but firewall out for distributor clearance.
10. Aftermarket gas and brake pedals allowed. NO 1 Pc plate set ups, must be
separate pedals.
11. NO Pinning, forming, shaping, welding holes shut of the frame allowed.
12. NO seam welding. This includes frame, front clip, cabin/drivers compartment,
trunk, NOT anywhere.
13. Frame notching allowed, but must remain cut open, NO re-welding.
14. There will be no trimming or slicing of illegal steel. It will be removed run!!
15. NO tipping of frames. Example like Fords or GM‟s. All car frames must be stock.
16. K-frames must remain free floating and rubber pucks must remain in stock
position.
17. Tranny cooler allowed, securely bolted to the floor, (NOT frame). Approved high
pressure lines required.
18. Motor – does not have to be the same make as the car. Frame Motor mount can be
up to 6” welded in with (2) 2”x2”x1/4” gussets. The engine mount can be
bolted/welded to that 6” frame mount. Also 1 chain per side maybe added behind
the pulley‟s and in front of the carburetor, no more than 3 links welded vertically
or bolted to the frame.
19. Tranny cross brace – must use the factory cross member, but can move to fit
tranny mount and can weld to frame up to 5” per side or bolt in. May use (1)
2”x2”x3/16”x5” long angle per side to hold cross brace. NO other added metal!
20. Rear ends can be factory produced car 5 bold rear-end, but must fit in without
adding any new additional metal. Can NOT change out brackets or package trays.
NO braced, floater or extreme rear ends allowed. Rear ends may be welded,
spooled or posi.
21. Radiator only and bolted or strapped to core support. NO barrels! Only factory
items allowed in front of radiator (A/C condenser etc.), NO added structural steel
allowed anywhere on core support, except the hood pins.
22. Bumpers – Must be a factory made bumper. May switch to another factory
bumper. No Chrysler V- Bumpers. No stuffed bumpers/homemade ones Do NOT
fill/plate light holes or vents in bumpers. Chrome may be pounded down and
welded. Bumpers ends maybe trimmed, if you do, do NOT cap ends, leave open.
You may run a piece of pipe or tube for bumper – strait contour only – 6” max.
23. Rear Factory Bumper can be chained on with a total of 4 chains. Chains – max of
24” long. Can go to body but NOT trunk lid. Or may weld on with (1) 4”x4”x1/4”
plate per frame rail. Pick 1, chain or weld, NOT both! Rear bumpers must be
between 16-23 inches off the ground.
24. Bumper Brackets – Must remain stock brackets for that car in stock position, No
relocating, but can weld to the frame and weld to bumper. Or you may remove
and have no brackets, can shorten frame back to core support, but core support
must remain stock position and weld bumper directly to frame, NO added metal.
25. All doors can be chained or wired shit. Each seam can have 2 chains/wires.
Bottom seam can go around frame/rocker. 2 door cars can have 3 chains/wires on
bottom seam.
26. Driver‟s door can be welded with (6) 4”x4”x3/16” patches total, and an outside
door bar may be added. 4” past front and back door seam and extend no more
than 3” out from door.
27. 2 Front window bars allowed max 2” size. A max of 4” of weld on roof and cowl.
Driver‟s door mesh allowed.
28. Front dash bar, door bars and behind seat bar allowed. 4 point, 2 total vertical
down bars off back seat bar to sheet metal only and plates up to 6”x6”. Dash bar
must be min of 6” back of firewall and 6” up off tranny hump. Door bars a max of
60” long. Cage door bars and seat bar must be a minimum of 5” off of floor. Each
corner may have up to a 6” long gusset. NO other cross bars allowed in cage!
29. Halo bars allowed, BUT can only be attached to the top of the door bars!
Anything below will be cut out completely.
30. Gas tank protector allowed off of seat bar, 24” wide max and must be a minimum
of 2” away from hump area tin, must be in between car frame rails. Pre-ran cars
must follow the rule, 2” away if bent! No bigger gear holders in the car, if you do,
you don‟t run.
31. Hoods to be secured in up to 6 places, (2) 1” max bolts/all thread only at the core
support mounts to frame (2 to frame and 4 sheet metal to sheet metal) (NO
sleeving – straight bolts/all thread), NO pig tails or angling bolts, straight up and
down. 5”x5” plates max all free floating. And 4 chains or wire, sheet metal to
sheet metal. Chain – 1 wrap Max of 24” long. Wire – 2 wraps max, 36” long max.
Or may do all 6 chains or wire Chain/wire can NOT go to frame or bumper. 6”
spacer max between core support and frame free floating.
32. Hood to have a min of a 12” hole. Up to (8) 3/8” bolts and 1” washers to bolt
skins together on hood. 8 total regardless of size, NO stuffing of hood ribs.
33. Truck – 4 chains/wires. Trunk can be tucked, but 50% must be in stock position.
No V forming, No quarter tucking/folding. 2 – sheet metal to sheet metal 1 wrap.
The other 2 can go to the frame or rear bumper and can have up to a ¾” – 6” long
bolt thru trunk lid welded to the chain to tighten. Chains to be 24” long max, 1
wrap. Or all 4 can be sheet metal to sheet metal, with 24” long, 1 wrap.
34. Wagon tail gates, 4 chains/wire. Can NOT go around frame or up to roof. 24”
long, 1 wrap for chain, 2 wraps for wire.
35. NO rear window bars.
36. Speaker deck must be left in and in stock location.
37. Body mounts must remain stoke bolts in stock position, except the 2 core support
bolts rule #34. All rubber spacers must stay in place. Do NOT replace any body
bolts, unless broke… May add 2 total extra bolts at the floor to frame, behind
firewall and in front of rear hump area in a place of your choice. No bigger than
5/8” with up to 3”x3” washers. Any more than 2 or any bigger will be removed.
May NOT extent up to any other part of the car or your gear.
38. Trimming of fenders allowed, but NO welding, bolts or screw can be added.
39. Floor rust – 16ga. Thick max sheet metal may be BOLTED over rust holes. Sheet
metal to sheet metal. Bolts cannot go to frame in any way. 3/8” bolts max with 1”
washers. DO NOT cut rust out, and there must be rust to add plate. Can NOT
plate entire floor, only as needed for safety!!!
40. NO modifications or reinforcements to A-frames, or tie rods.
41. Front suspensions spacers allowed. Must be a secure spacer, can be welded in but
not in a way to reinforce the frame. Judges decision is final… May block up front
suspension with 2” max pipe welded vertical only or weld down upper control
arm with 2”x1/4” by 4” long strap 1 per side of arm.
42. Rear shocks must remain or no shocks. NO pipe substitute. Coil over‟s allowed.
43. Leaf spring cars can have up to 7 leafs, 5/16” thick max OEM size leafs and up to
clamps per side. No double mains.
44. Coil cars can double coils and wire or chain them.
45. Tires – Any rubber tire & ply, doubled, foam filled, tubed, and valve stem
protectors allowed. Protectors must be securely welded. NO studded or solid
rubber tires. Rim center mods ok. NO outer steel Bead/Rim Protectors.

Semi Stock Little Trucks
Bronco II, Explorer, S10 Blazer, Dakota, Durango, and V8’s
Allowed
No Compact Cars Allowed To Run In This Class
1. Welding from center of front wheels forward permitted. This is the only frame
welding allowed.
2. Patch and pucker frame repair. 6” long ¼” thick plate outside of frame only, 8”
between patches.
3. No frame swaps. No ½ ton or bigger frames, Imperial subs frames, K frames, etc.
Stock only!
4. No V Bumpers, car bumpers allowed
5. Must have a hood and must be bolted down in max of six places using 1” rod, 6”
washer max. 12”x12” opening in the hood above the carburetor. All doors must
be welded shut. Eight 4”x4” pads per door.
6. Roll cages allowed. Inside or outside of the cab. Braces must stay in front of the
wheels wells and can be bolted to the frame.
7. Dash bar 3” max, door bars and rear cab bars are allowed. 2 kickers down to the
frame.
8. Cab reinforcement must remain separate from the box.
9. Gear protection in the box cannot be attached to the cab, box front, sides or rear.
10. Tailgate must be welded to the box. Factory tailgates only.
11. No stuffing of body panels (fenders, box sides, etc.)
12. Rear bumpers that are removed, must have frame rails capped using channel or
angle, can extend out to box sides.
13. Prior run trucks must meet rules.
14. May add additional eight body bolts total, other than factory location in cab and
box. 6” washer max.
15. 4x4‟s must have front driveshaft removed.
16. Dodge Dakota‟s are allowed. No full size trucks allowed. NO full size truck frame
swapping allowed.
17. Motor mounts may be welded. Two additional straps or chains can be added.
Must be behind water pump, but in front of the carburetor.
18. Radi-barrels must be inside frame rails (top and bottom) Bolted in with (4) ½”
bolts only – sheet metal only, 3” thick outside to outside max and vented down.
19. No homemade spring packs – leafs only. Up to 7 leaf with 4 clamps per side.
20. 4 or 5 bolt rear ends only.
21. Tires up to any 15” can be used. NO studded or solid rubber tires. Can be doubled,
foam filled, bobcats, implement tires, valve stem protectors allowed if welded
securely. Can run these on drive wheels too.

Demolition Derby Rules for Midsize
Isanti County
VEHICLE PREPARATION













Mandatory full face helmets with chin guard.
No Chrysler, New Yorker or Imperial bumpers.
Remove all glass, chrome, plastic, moldings, headliner, dash, flammable material,
A/C coolant, antifreeze, trailer hitches and interior decorating.
Stock gas tank must be removed and a small metal tank must be mounted in the
rear seat area. The tank must be very secure and covered and use proper rated fuel
lines.
Plastic tanks must be in a metal box. NO EXCEPTIONS
Electric fuel pump are allowed but switch must be clearly marked on/off.
No more than (2) batteries allowed, which must be relocated to front passenger
floor, secured and covered.
Floor shifter allowed.
Ignition and wiring modifications (hotwire) allowed.
Hood must have 12” x 12” minimum hole to easily extinguish fires. Extra hole(s)
in hood are not required if header holes are least 12” x 12”.
Car and driver qualify as a team for the feature.
Net/guard for driver’s door window and windshield is recommended.
FRAME, BODY








Absolutely no welding, bolting, pinning, screwing, painting, shaping of the frame,
sharpening the corners of the frame, or square them off in anyway. Frames will
be scoped.
If any of this is done you will not be inspected just loaded.
NO chains to frame to body period.
NO FRAME REPAIR PERIOD! NO PAINTED FRAME PERIOD!
Frame or body repairs due to rust can be repaired with the same thickness of
material and must be butt welded.
You may crease body panels but NO welding or rolling
No stuffing or filling of frame.
Do not undercoat, paint, cover or put any substance on or in the frame.







Do not weld any holes shut on body or frame must be open for inspection.
Floor pan (for shifter) and wheel wells or fenders can be trimmed.
Mandatory piece of rebar or all thread or chain 3/8 max or 9 gauge wire running
from the roof to the cowl in the windshield area for drivers protection.
Up to two pieces max, no other added metal or mounting plates to reinforce the
firewall/roof. This is for safety, not a kicker.
Fenders or wheel wells and hood cut outs may be bolted in (6) places each.
Peening of the quarters or making bodylines is permitted.
No extra body bolts or anything acting like one.
BUMPERS






You may run any car bumper except a New Yorker or Imperial bumper , if you
cannot afford a bumper you may use up to a 3 by 6 by 3/8 thick piece of tube or
channel or pipe.
You may have a slight point, nothing more than a 74 Chevy point and must be
spread out the same.
ALL BUMPERS - CANNOT BE ANY LONGER THAN 55 INCHES.
You may weld 6 inches total of tube or pipe to your bumper.
It is also alright that your front hold down passes through the tube. This may run
into your frame or body. Any longer than that get the torch out.
You may weld bumper to body or bolt it on. Do not weld the frame to body in
anyway. You may run one bumper hold down on each side no longer than 6
inches. It may consist of wire, 3/8 chain or a 2 inch strap to hold bumper on. This
strap may go to unibody body only not frame.
DOORS





Welding, chains, or wire are allowed and the driver’s door may be welded solid.
No more the 12 inches of total weld allowed per door seam - 3 inch strap max.
You may use 2 chains or wire max per door seam. Do not go around the frame.
Driver’s door - you may weld or bolt a ¼ thick plate (max) on the outside of the
door.
The plate can go 3 inches past the door seam and be no larger than 12 inches wide
for safety.
BODY MOUNTS


No larger than ½ inch body bolts. Factory rubbers must be in place or something
the same thickness.
No larger than 5x5 plates or washers
Hood, Trunk lid/tailgate








Hood may have 6 hold-downs total - Bolts or chains or wires - 2 may go to the
frame and the other 4 must be sheet metal to sheet metal 5x5 plates - 3 nuts max
per rod.
Threaded rod must be in stock position and you may pull the rubber mount out - 1
inch max bolts.
Do not weld the frame to the body in the front.
Do not weld the threaded rod to the frame. You will cut it off!
Truck may have 4 hold-downs – bolts or chains or wires – 2 may go to the frame
and the other 2 must be sheet metal to sheet metal 5x5 plates and 3x3 sheet metal
patches.
Tuckingof the trunk is allowed but 50% must remain in stock location.
Four-inch dish max.
Rear quarters may be folded over trunk slightly
INSIDE SAFTY BARS






Dash bar and seat bars are allowed and are highly recommend for driver’s safety.
You may have 4 down bars max to the body and they must only be behind inside
drivers door seam.
Gas tank protector is recommended and must not extend more than 24 inches
from the back of the seat bar. It may be welded or bolted in. It must be 4 inches
off the floor and be in line with the back seat opening with a 4 inch gap from that.
Door bars cannot go any farther than 6 inches from the back of the seat.
All cage material cannot be larger than a 3x3 tube and must be 3 inches or higher
off the floor. No welding or bolting the cage to anything in rear.
Unlimited drivers door protection that may only go 3 inches past the door seam on
all sides.
Back window bar is allowed but no larger than 2 inch wide flat stock 3/8 inch
material only. Must be 6 inches away from the roof sign and on the speaker deck
only. (Can not act as another trunk hold down and can not make contact with the
tank protector if you choose to have one.)
ENGINE AND DRIVETRAIN





No v8s
Transmission may be chained or wired in place
Motor mounts may be modified to hold the engine in place but may not strengthen
the car.
Engine may be welded or chained down with wire or chains that can only be
mounted to the engine in front of the motor mounts.
Changing motors over to carb is allowed.

No header protectors of any kind or aftermarket cradles or trans protectors or
dp’s… nothing.
RADIATOR



Radiator must be in stock location.
No homemade radiators.
You may put ¼ inch mesh in front of radiator or air condenser. (No angle iron just
use mesh.)
TIRES


No ply restriction.
Must be a rubber tire - no homemade tires, max tire height 28 inches.
Fuel lines AND FUEL TANKS
Attention midsize and compacts! Last year was a disaster with fuel lines.
 You must run your fuel line through a larger hose or some type of protective
material and pass through the fire wall.
 7 gallon tank max which must be mounted under the back seat bar on the drivers
side behind the seat or tight to the back seat bar.
 ****Metal box is highly recommended****
 Double check all hose clamps – this is for your own safty.
 No fuel lines ran underneath the cars, they must be inside.
If you show up with sloppy fuel lines you will not run until it is fixed!
SUSPENSION AND STEERING





Rusted out rear trailing arms may be fixed with same thickness material only.
You may reinforce tie rods must have stock ends.
Struts must be *STOCK*
You may not repair the struts, just replace them. (If you do no have strut bounce
your do not run!)
No chains of any kind to added to suspension or unibody.
COMPACTS





102 inch wheel base or less
Rear wheel drive is allowed
4 cylinder only

SPIRIT OF THE RULE
Although every effort has been directed toward complete, understandable and correct
rules as well as the same factors in putting them into print, Hollywood Motorsports
cannot possibly anticipate every situation, circumstance or interpretation. With this in
mind we must refer to the spirit of the rule. If you look for a gray area to strengthen your
car you will be asked to change it or be removed, period. I HAVE THE RIGHT AT ANY
TIME TOMAKE YOU CHANGE YOUR CAR TO WHAT I FEEL IS FIT.

WESTERN TRUCK RULES
All general rules apply to truck class. Only 1⁄2, 3⁄4 &1 ton trucks, or suburbans are
allowed in this class. 4X4 trucks are allowed however the front drive shafts must be
removed.
Gas Tanks
1. Gas tanks must be mounted in the box of the truck next to cab.
2. Absolutely no plastic gas tanks allowed.
Safety Cage
1. Safety cage can be welded or bolted to frame in 4 spots
2. Kickers from cage cannot exceed the front of firewall or exceed rear of driver.
3. Roll bars can be bolted to cab in 4 spots, and kickers can be mounted to bed floor not
the frame. 24 inches behind the driver. Kickers off roll bar have to be at least 4 inches in
front of rear front leaf spring shackle.
Box Mounts
1. 6 additional box mounts to hold box in place.
2. Box mount washers can be no bigger than 6X6X 1⁄4”.
Suspensions
Factory A arms can be welded ..
1. A arm trucks may have solid front suspension
2. A max of 10 leaf springs with 1” stager on rear, 8 leaf max with 1” stager in front end.
3. Spring clamps are allowed.
Tires
1. Any air tires allowed no bigger than 16.5 “ tire.
2. All split rims must be welded.
Hood
1. Hood must be bolted or chained, using 6 hood pins or 6chains.
2. Front Hood pins may be mounted to the frame. 1” max with 4”X4” washers ,other 4
must be sheet metal to sheet metal only . No kickers allowed .
Frames
1. No plating, doubling or adding cross members
2. Bend repair- 2” past bend 1⁄4” thick plate on 2 sides per bend. If it doesn’t pass you
will have the option to cut plates off completely or load.
Cooling System
Radiators must be in stock position.
1. Radi-barrels may be used and must be mounted in original radiator position.
2. You may choose to not run a cooling system at all.
3. Electric fuel pump and transmission coolers are allowed.
Body Welds
Doors, Tailgates, Box & Cab may be welded or chained. If welded you may use 4” wide
by 1/8” thick.
Engine Mounting
May be modified to hold engine in place, but may not strengthen truck.
1. Engines may be welded or chained in two spots, one per frame rail.
2. No more forward than water pump pulley and may not go past the first spark plug on
the engine block.
3. Engine mount plate that is welded to the frame cannot exceed 6” of welding on the
frame. You may run rear end engine mounts only to secure engine, 1 mount per side.
Cannot strengthen frame in any way.
Bumpers
1. Any automotive bumper front or rear. You may run stuffed bumper, No homemade Vbumpers.
2. Bumpers may be welded on with angle iron no more than 4”X 4” X 1/2”
3. You may choose to use a 4”X4” square tubing no longer than 60”. Chrome skin must
be welded over square tube
