Founded in 1980 Self-supporting, non-profit, educational organization Duke TIP identifies academically talented young people and offers them a wide array of fulfilling educational opportunities What is the 7th Grade Talent Search? A program to identify and support academically talented 7th graders Participants: Take SAT or ACT college entrance exam Receive recognition and numerous informational resources Gain access to Duke TIP’s network of educational programs and resources Who can participate? Current 7th graders Students who live or attend school in our 16 state region STAAR test scores from 5th or 6th grade 95% or better score on Math OR 95% or better score on Reading OR 95% or better score on 5th grade science Talent Search Regions Why be a part of the 7th grade Talent Search? Learn more about your abilities Get a head start on college entrance exams (SAT and ACT) Interact with other academically talented students Attend recognition ceremonies and qualify for additional programs if you are a high scorer on the SAT or ACT Additional benefits...
