NAAC VISIT

Symbiosis Institute of the International Business played host to the NAAC Core Team on 2nd
December 2015.The assessment process carried out by the National Assessment and
Accreditation Council went on smooth and hassle free as the entire institute came together
and left no stone unturned to meet the expectations of the inspecting committee. The NAAC
team had a fruitful interaction with the Director, faculty members and students during their
visit to acquaint themselves with the functioning of the institute. An exhibition put up by the
various student committees successfully showcased the plethora of activities that are carried
out to enhance the learning experience of a student apart from academics. The efforts put up
were well appreciated by the visiting team.
SYMBIOSIS FOOTBALL LEAGUE : SOCCER MANIA

The Sports Committee of SIIB successfully conducted for the very first time “Symbiosis Football League”,
what was touted as the flagship sporting event of our institute. Amidst great excitement and frenzy of
avid sport enthusiasts eight teams, tastefully named as Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool etc ,were
put up for auction . The stupendous success of the team auction was followed by a player auction as
well.
The tournament witnessed some excellent moments of team spirit and wonderful sportsmanship
throughout the game. The sports committee members put up a great show by organizing the event after
tireless efforts spanning over a fortnight. The neck to neck competition, the adrenaline rush and the
cheering and hooting getting louder and louder with every goal scored got the competitive spirit going.
A perfect platform to showcase your sporting talent, the tournament also brought out the message of
team building and optimism. The Closing Ceremony saw the winning teams being awarded a cash prize
of rupees fifteen thousand as the audience broke into thunderous applause.
The SFL inspired every person standing on the field, whether a player or a watcher.
BIZOOKA 2.0- Start Up Conclave

Bizooka 2.0 the annual B-Plan competition was organized by the students of Entrepreneurship Cell of
SIIB on December 23rd and 24th.The competiton is a platform for potential ideas and early stage start ups
to evaluate their plan in the risk free environment of a competiton.It provided a wonderful opportunity
for future managers connect with start up founders.The event witnessed participation from various Bschools across thenation with teams coming from colleges like SP Jain,NMIMS and IIT Kharagpur.Angel
investors,Venture capitalists and Incubation centre heads were among thejudges for the competiton. A
battle of sorts, Bizooka 2.0 proved to be an ultimate showdown of brilliant B-Plans from across the
country.
Day two at Bizooka 2.0 included a very enticing “My Story”session with founders of start ups like Hello
Curry, Haptik and Rush Hours sharing their Rollercoaster story and motivated the students about
Starting up and Starting Big! These founders shared their experiences and their motivaional drive
towards the business,which gave the budding entrepreneurs a clear insight and knowhow of the game.
The event was covered by the popular daily “Sakaal Times” and won accolades from one and all.
WELLNESS WORKSHOP
The first step towards change is awareness
Learning outside the classroom is always fun and helpful. Students of SIIB had an amazing
experience this December at the “Wellness Workshop” organized by the institute. The two day
program was artfully designed to give the students a chance to take a break from the
humdrums of everyday college routine and sit back and spare a thought over their values and
ultimate goals in life. It aimed at promoting a healthy and stress free life style among students
and saw several accomplished and renowned trainers from India and abroad coming together
and conducting activities such as Corporate Theatre, poster making and management games all
designed to drive the message of leading a healthier and better life.
The session gave students a glimpse of what all round development should comprise and how
inculcating a few qualities such as positivity and hope could lead to being a much better person
than we are today. It was indeed an enriching experience and the students made the most of it.
CHRISTMAS WITH IGNISENSE
The Carnival of Rebels
IGNISENSE is an event that captures attention and enthralls, entices and makes you want more of
head scratching and mind boggling challenges, makes you move to the rhythm of an endless euphony; it
encapsulates in itself a search to ignite the senses and fire them to reach the acme where stand the
leaders, the doers, the people who change the world!
Infused with energy, zeal and a never ending hunt for knowledge, students across the country compete
to prove their mettle against all odds and restrictions, a fight often against the flow of sand in the
hourglass.
Team Ignisense put up a wonderful show with their pre-event “Christmas with Ignisense” proving to be
a roaring success. With the festive spirit sweeping the campus, Team Igni came up with a host of exciting
activities and fun games to keep their audience hooked. The event started off with Igni-Idol wherein
budding singers took to the stage with an amazing display of their musical talent. Lined up for the
evening were many more fun activities such as paper dance and a game of dares.
It turned out to be fun filled evening and the crowd enjoyed itself to the fullest.
