DESCRIPTION
The Ardenne Timber Cluster in Gouvy is situated in the north of
the province, an area covered by 230,000 hectares of forest and
home to 700 wood processing businesses. It is also at the heart of
the Ardenne-Eifel forest.
This enterprise park is designed to host companies active in the
timber industry, whether involved in primary wood processing
or any of the other secondary wood processing stages with a
high added value.
This high environmental quality enterprise park of around 80
hectares is situated in an industrial and mixed enterprise park.
There are a rail connection and environmental protection structures. It offers plots that can be adapted to the needs of individual businesses.
The developer has opted for an enterprise park concept that fosters synergies between businesses on site and with the Burtonville wood cluster located around fifteen kilometres away.

HOLZINDUSTRIE PAULS AG

To secure its future development, which is hindered
by its current site in Bullange, the company Holzindustrie PAULS AG has opted for a 15 hectares plot
on this enterprise park. This third generation family
business saws 300,000 cubic metres of round logs
per annum and will be rolling out its green energy
production project in Courtil.
It has invested in a sawmill and a cogeneration unit of
5 MW allowing it to dry lumber and sawdust.
