Info-Trax Sdn Bhd (ITSB) is a licensed company with PETRONAS was incorporated in 1991.
ITSB has been awarded an umbrella contract (Master Price and Service Agreement) by
PETRONAS Carigali in the area of Laser Scanning and Dimensional Control Survey on 2013.
Working closely with its own Associate Company Infotrax Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd who is
leader and specialist in Accuracy Control, Electronic Survey and Measurement we believe this
revolutionary technique, would be able to help and complement oil & gas producer to
tremendously reduce the time and money due to unplanned and unscheduled shutdown.
As a company with the focus in the Dimensional Control& Engineering Services, ITSB is
desired to render it services to Malaysian Oil & Gas company in the area of Dimensional
Control Survey & Engineering Services. The services that we could provide starting from Laser
Point & Laser Scan Survey until the production of the fabrication drawing and finally the as built
drawing.
The provision of 3D CAD models of millimetric accuracy of existing and replacement equipment,
utilizing electronic laser data capture methods became the enabler for innovation and
subsequent major cost & program savings on both new build and brown-field modification
projects.

ITSB and its partner have more than 100 surveyors who are highly experienced in all
aspects of new build projects and modifications to fixed platforms and FPSOs. All the survey

Examples of Dimensional Control Project
Module support frame installation. As-build of new
module support frame overlay with offshore laser and
clash report produced.
Piping modifications on fixed platform. All the
interconnecting pipework was surveyed and
fabricated prior to the installation of the topside
modules, these spools were loaded out inside the
modules. Once the modules were installed the
spools were lifted into position and bolted. Major
cost savings for all.
FPSO deck layout model from client 2D design and
we survey of existing deck equipment. Inter discipline
clash checks done for all existing deck equipment,
new piping systems, new pipe rack, new module

3D As-Built Modeling: Discernable Benefits to End User
“The Most Accurate Brownfield Asset Capture”
The deliverable provides 3D modelling services from cloud data to clients who require highly
accurate documentation of their facilities. Various types of 3D models are offered to client for
the as-built solutions as per below types:
1. Primitive 3D model (Primitive)
2. Semi-Intelligent 3D model (Semi-I)
3. Full-Intelligent 3D model (Fully-I).
The translation of the as-built data which captured from the cloud data are translate into
millimetre-accurate 3D CAD model using software such as Leica Cyclone, SmartPlant 3D
(S3D), PDMS, PDS, AutoCAD, Microstation etc. The cloud data that offered from the laser
scanning are compatible for current modelling software that available in the market.
Primitive 3D Model
Geometry model only with no attributes or tags attached. Drawings cannot be automatically
extracted from 3D model.
Semi-Intelligent 3D Model
Primitive model with tag numbers attached in accordance with the P&ID. No attributes are
attached and drawings cannot be automatically extracted from the 3D model.

Full-Intelligent 3D Model
The Intelligent model may be created from the Semi-Intelligent model with all attributes,
specs and catalogues dissolved in one active model using intelligent 3D software (e.g
PDMS, SP3D, CadWorx etc). In certain cases, the intelligent model also can be created
directly from the Point Cloud or Survey raw information as an optional method to suit with.
Drawings generally can be extracted automatically from this model. Under normal
circumstances, the intelligent model is created in the ‘As-Built’ condition. In the explanation
further below describes where the model is required to be manipulated or ‘squared-off’.
Where the client has requested that the ‘As-Built’ model is squared off in order to get a
presentable ‘As-Built’ engineering drawing output; the manipulation of 3D As-built conditions
to square pipework, steelwork, etc need to be carried out in some limitations & guidelines.

Repair Order Scope
Method of Statement:
1) Corridor EDM survey & Laser Scanning for the affected areas stated in the
Inspection Report.
2) Processing the point cloud database & EDM survey data.
3) Registration of point cloud to patch all the survey points & scan targets.
4) Generate one consolidated point cloud (whichever using corridor Laser Scanning).
5) Generate As-Built model (whichever using corridor EDM survey).
6) Setting the datum /reference point for global or local system.
7) Generate Semi-I 3D design modelling from the point cloud / corridor survey.
8) Produce 2D ‘Fabrication’ Isometric.
9) Produce 2D ‘Fabrication’ Support Details (if any).
10) Produce Preliminary Bulk MTO for Client’s ordering reference.
1. Laser Scanning & EDM Survey (Site Execution)
Carried out by fully qualified, graduated surveyors who have had full training of surveying all
aspects of the mechanical and structural elements in the offshore Oil and Gas industry,
adhering to our proven quality procedures and method statements.
Our understanding of this major work scope is to supply the necessary trained personnel
and equipment to your offshore / onshore installation to complete a 100 % laser scan and
EDM survey of all the process, utility systems & structure within the defined areas.
As the areas near the header are congested, we will utilise laser scanning techniques in
order to capture the as-built data in the shortest time period. The survey team comprises 1
scanning operator & 1 surveyor.
A master control network will be established by EDM (Total-Station) survey, based on the
as-built platform primary structure for both plan & elevation ordinates.
A series of overlapping scans, within & around the required areas to ensure full capture of all
equipment, pipe-work & structural items will be carried out & repeated on each deck until all
the areas has been scanned.
Pre-analysis to ensure complete scan coverage of the required areas, will be carried out on
site before team demobilisation.
Output from Laser Scanning Activities;

Point cloud (true as-built condition) that can be converted into 3D model in CAD
format via point cloud tracing at later stage.

2. Point Cloud & Truview Generation (Office Execution)
Following demob from the facility, the scan data is registered in the Point cloud environment.
We use LFM software for this work. [LFM Server is the application used to register (orientate
individual scans to the master control values) & subsequently, generate the point cloud; this
software is provided, under licence by Z+F, the manufacturer of the scanners we own.
The database produced by the generation process, becomes the point-cloud deliverable.
Once registration & database generation are completed, photo realistic images generated
from point cloud can be manipulated and rotated 360 degree as per user requirement. The
beauty of this massive capture is we could navigate and expand the original scopes if the
client need some further modifications at the other areas nearby.

3. Engineering Drawing Production (Office Execution)
Similar with other inspection works, Inspection Execution team will establish and provide
final work pack to Winner for evaluation in terms of manpower detail and work duration
required for the field and office works.
The work pack input must be contained a list of piping and structural for replacement works
(sectional replacement or flange to flange replacement marked in the drawing), original as built drawing, P&ID, criticality and prioritization of works.
Replacement scope of work will be referred based on but not limited to the original as-built
drawing (if provided), line sketch in the inspection report, damage (corrosion) mechanism
factor related to the piping and other requirements in the work pack.
For this scope of work, engineering team will undergo several methodologies summarized
as per below:
1) Tie-In Point Verification, Redline model & Clash Check
2) Redline Markup onto old / client’s isometric
3) Fabrication Drawing Production
3.1
Tie-In Point Verification, Redline Model & Clash Check
All site survey data regarding flange Tie-In Point such as bolt rotation, flange rating, flange
deviation, as-built coordinates & cutline reference will be loaded into PDMS or CAD
software. Point cloud will be dumped onto PDMS or CAD software as well for scope reverification.
Affected piping then will be modelled up (As-Built) & squared to suit TP survey. Once all
termination points & new redline model were verified, clash checking will be performed in
order to have a new established clash free redline model prior 2D drafting activity. In
summary; the methodologies are as per below:







As-Built modeling via Cyclone.
Redline Model via CAD 3D.

from client (if provided) based on squared off redline model generated from activity 2.3.1.

Fabrication Drawing Production
The survey work is based on like for like replacement work, hence, the drawing must
represent the same design as per site. Basic deliverables normally to refer as final isometric
fabrication drawing. Optionally, support details drawing & penetration details drawing will be
produced wherever required in the final construction workpack.
2D Fabrication Isometric Drawing – Drawing represents the section for replacement, will be
submitted immediately once site survey completed. The drawing to be included in the
fabrication workpack on client end. New MTO will be extracted from the model via piping
specification sheet provided.
Any obstruction related to the field joint replacement work will be highlighted clearly in the
fabrication drawings together with the details (type of obstruction and length to the
obstruction point(s) from selected datum / reference points).
Then we will produce 2D Isometric from RLM / Redline model output from activity 2.3.1 &
2.3.2 above. All mark-up details will be back drafted in cad version (.dwg format) came
together with new bill of materials for issuance.

MTO list will be re-checked with Piping Specification spreadsheet supplied from Client. All
Engineering QAQC will be implemented with reference to the P&ID’s, 3D Model, Equipment
layout, Piping GA’s and existing Point Cloud.

Project: DC Survey requirements for Azurite Project FDPSO, May-Jun’08
On Monday afternoon we completed the installation
of the last central Piperack section on board the
Azurite vessel. This was quite an achievement, and
used a new innovative approach by Prosafe Module
Yard team for FPSO Piperack construction and
installation.
We planned, constructed and assembled the
Piperack section in the module yard at Kencana in
exactly the same layout as they would be positioned
on the vessel. This also included the welded
pipework which was set up butt weld to butt weld
with only the necessary weld gap separating the
pipes. With the use of an experienced third party
Dimensional Control company,’Scopus’ we surveyed
the as-built positions in the Module Yard and
transferred these to the shipyard support stools.

Working with our module installation group for the
Azurite project, ‘Masstrans’, we developed a guide
and bumper system that would bring the modules
into the exact position that we constructed in
Kencana. Utilizing ‘Asian Lift Hercules’ vessel we
started lifting Piperack sections on Wednesday as
per our schedule and completed the lifting safely
and on schedule on sunday afternoon.
The result of this innovative method was to save
approximately 180 butt welds for Piperack hook-up
and more importantly costly use of the quayside
crane for spool installation. This method will lead to
a major schedule saving for Piperack completion
and hook-up to existing systems.
This was a great example of teamwork starting with
the Prosafe team in the module yard, Kencana our
fabricators who set up the modules in their
fabrication shop in the vessel position, Masstrans
who designed and planned the bumper system and
installation method, Asian Lift who carried out the
Piperack section lifting and installation, Scopus who
aligned the module sections and ensured they would
fit, Keppel who landed the modules on the deck and
took on board our construction philosophy and the
Prosafe Vessel Construction team who organized
the installation at the vessel side. Innovation and
teamwork combined to bring a great result for the
Project, well done to all involved.

Well tie-in activity. Indeed application of laser scanning proven to be successful in assisting
us for the scope of work, provided we follow step by step the process. It is also beneficial in
identifying clashes and accurate tie –in which in turn eliminate rework and modification at
site. Just for your info for C07 well tie-in we completed it within one day.

fit-up. TLO achieved a very good fit-up thanks to
Infotrax Engineering.
It would have been even better if TLO had used flat
'hook' beams but the trouble was due to some weld distortion on the hook beams built in a
rush out of scrap. The final result ok though and
accepted.

When the master PDMS database declared superseded
(which found not reflecting to As-Built), all piping drawings
(Design AFC ISO drawing) are required for re-verification
compared to the existing condition. Non-As Built PDMS
database will expose inaccuracy information in the
AFC/IFC drawing production and definitely affect fabrication
and installation during HUC.

Just to update your team, this Sumandak Booster Pump Project have been discontinued by
PCSB and we have already rig down the system. This pilot project was discontinued due to
after study conducted by PCSB which found that the reservoir aquifer is strong enough to
maintain pressure and production without the booster pump system. Nevertheless, we have
manage to installed and commission the system with success.
We would like to thank you for your team’s support and great work in the design/engineering
phase up to fabrication which help us a lot in our project. We have learn a lot from your
company and look forward on working again with your team in the near future.

SYARAT-SYARAT AM LESEN PETRONAS
1.
Syarikat ini dikehendaki berdaftar, mendapatkan lesen, permit atau kebernaran daripada pihak
berkuasa yang berkenaan untuk mengendalikan perkhidmatan atau pembekalan peralatan atau
bahan-bahan yang berkaitan dalam operasi atau aktiviti-aktiviti syarikat ini yang diperlukan;
f. Mengsub-kontrak kerja kepada kontraktor lain tanpa kebenaran bertulis daripada PETRONAS.
2.
Lesen ini tidak boleh dipindahmilik kepada mana-mana syarikat/pihak lain;
h. Memasuki atau menerima kontrak atau tender semasa di dalam penggantungan lesen.
3.
Lesen ini akan dibatalkan sekiranya syarikat ini didapati berada di dalam proses penyelesaian
hutang-hutangnya (liquidation), penggulungan (winding-up) atau pembubaran (dissolution);
i.
Memberi maklumat palsu, tidak tepat atau mengelirukan.
j.
4.
Syarikat ini hendaklah memaklumkan kepada PETRONAS sebarang perubahan ke atas kedudukan
syarikat seperti pemilikan ekuiti, lembaga pengarah dan kakitangan pengurusan dalam masa
empat belas (14) hari dari perubahan tersebut berlaku. Kegagalan untuk berbuat demikian
boleh mengakibatkan lesen ini dibatalkan;
Tidak mematuhi peraturan-peraturan dan etika-etika tender meliputi tetapi tidak terhad kepada
menghantar surat layang, memberi rasuah atau melobi;
5.
Syarikat ini hendaklah mengambil tindakan segera untuk memenuhi syarat-syarat khas yang
dikenakan di dalam lampiran lesen dan memaklumkan kepada PETRONAS atas perkembangan
tindakan tersebut;
6.
Syarikat ini tidak dibenarkan mengambil syarikat lain sebagai prinsipal, agen, sub-kontraktor atau
sebaliknya untuk memberi apa-apa perkhidmatan atau membekal apa-apa kemudahan, kelengkapan
atau peralatan bagi pihaknya tanpa kebenaran bertulis daripada PETRONAS terlebih dahulu;
7.
Syarikat hendaklah membenarkan wakil pihak PETRONAS membuat lawatan pemeriksaan/audit ke
atas premis/syarikat dan menyemak/menyalin dokumen-dokumen serta menemubual kakitangan
syarikat dan pihak yang berkaitan;
8.
Lesen ini hendaklah ditunjukkan kepada pegawai-pegawai PETRONAS apabila dikehendaki untuk
diperiksa;
9.
Lesen ini adalah sah untuk memberi perkhidmatan dan membekal peralatan bagi bidang-bidang
yang tercatat di lampirannya sahaja;
10. Syarikat ini boleh dikenakan tindakan sekiranya pada pendapat PETRONAS, syarikat melakukan
satu atau lebih daripada perkara-perkara seperti berikut;
a. Gagal melaksanakan kerja yang diberikan sehingga selesai.
b. Gagal untuk melaksanakan tanggungjawab kontrak atau mana-mana tanggungjawab lain di
bawah undang-undang terhadap rakan kongsi, prinsipal, agen, sub-kontraktor dan sebagainya.
c. Menerima 'garnishee order'.
d. Menghadapi tindakan muflis.
e. Tidak dapat dikesan melalui alamat terakhir.
g. Menolak mana-mana kontrak atau tender yang diberikan.
k. Melakukan kegiatan yang tidak sewajar dengan Lesen ini.
11. Menurut peraturan 9, Peraturan-Peraturan Petroliam 1974, seseorang yang memulakan atau
meneruskan sesuatu urusan atau perkhidmatan yang tersebut dalam Peraturan 3 tanpa lesen atau
tidak mematuhi apa-apa syarat lesen tersebut adalah melakukan suatu kesalahan dan apabila
disabitkan boleh dikenakan denda tidak lebih daripada RM 50,000.00 (Ringgit Lima Puluh Ribu)
atau penjara selama tempoh tidak lebih daripada dua (2) tahun atau kedua-duanya dan mengenai
sesuatu kesalahan yang berterusan ia boleh dikenakan denda lanjutan RM 1,000.00 (Ringgit Seribu)
tiap-tiap satu (1) hari atau sebahagian daripada satu (1) hari kesalahan itu berterusan selepas hari
pertama sabitan itu direkodkan;
12. Kelulusan ini bukan satu perjanjian/jaminan bahawa syarikat tuan akan dipanggil untuk menyertai
tender atau sebutharga oleh PETRONAS atau anak-anak syarikatnya;
13. Syarikat ini sama ada secara dengan sendirinya, melalui pekerja-pekerjanya, pengarah-pengarahnya,
agen-agennya atau kakitangan-kakitangannya:a. Tidak dibenarkan menggunakan logo titisan minyak (oil drop) PETRONAS atau perkataan
"PETRONAS" atau menggunakan sebarang tanda, logo atau perkataan atau memakai gaya
cetakan (typeface), gaya huruf (font), rupa atau warna yang menyerupai cap-cap dagangan
yang dimiliki atau yang digunakan oleh PETRONAS ataupun anak-anak syarikatnya ("cap-cap
dagangan PETRONAS") dalam sebarang bentuk sekalipun sama ada pada bahan cetakan, laman
web ataupun papan tangan; dan
b. Tidak dibenarkan melakukan apa-apa perbuatan atau dalam apa-apa cara sama ada secara
langsung atau tidak langsung mengaku bahawa ia adalah rakan kongsi atau mempunyai
sebarang kaitan/hubungan dengan PETRONAS dan/atau anak-anak syarikatnya,
MELAINKAN DAN KECUALI Syarikat ini dibenarkan menggunakan rujukan [Syarikat] ini
dilesenkan oleh PETRONAS [No. lesen], di bawah Peraturan 3 Peraturan-peraturan Petroliam
1974.
14. Lesen ini boleh dibatalkan, digantung atau disenaraihitamkan pada bila-bila masa jika mana-mana
syarat di atas, syarat-syarat am pelesenan dan pendaftaran PETRONAS dan syarat-syarat lain yang
terkandung didalam Panduan Am Permohonan Lesen dan Pendaftaran PETRONAS tidak dipatuhi.
