Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was the writer of the Sherlock Holmes books. Conan Doyle
wrote many interesting stories but there are also some interesting stories about Conan
Doyle. Here is one popular story about him.
One day Conan Doyle was waiting for a ride outside a train station when a taxi stopped
near him. “Where can I take you, Sir Arthur?” the taxi driver asked.
Conan Doyle was surprised. “How did you know my name?” he asked.
“Well,” said the driver, “I read that you were returning from France today. People
returning from France always use this station. There is colour from a pen on your hand,
so this tells me you are a writer. And your clothes are from England, so I think you are
English and you must be Sir Arthur.”
“That’s amazing! You’re a great detective.You’re a real Sherlock Holmes!” said Conan
Doyle.
“Oh! It was easy,” the driver said.
