FROM THE PREZ
The holidays are over, I feel like I have gained ten pounds and need to be on a starvation diet. But, this time of year
also means football playoff games and car auctions on TV. After seeing some of the selling prices, I wish I had a HemiCuda convertible that I could sell. One sold for 2.675 million! Amazing. With that said, the Mustang were still pretty
strong. Anyway, the car auctions are good entertainment on cold winter nights.
A LEMOC Board of Directors meeting was held in January. Many topics were discussed. One item talked about was
our car show. Chris DeRosa has almost completed the guide for planning the show. This should make it much easier and
simpler for anyone who is chairing the show. Many possible club activities were also discussed. A Mustang Day dinner
and car show is being planned for April 17. It should be fun. More info to follow. Also discussed were a dinner cruise to a
local restaurant and other cruise destinations. Another item was a special speaker for the March meeting. More info to
follow. As always, if you have ideas for activities please bring them up at the meeting. Plans for the Can Am are
progressing nicely. Denise will keep us updated.
Remember, the Feb. Meeting is back at the Boy Scout building. See you there.

LEMOC Meeting Minutes
There was no January 2016 meeting.
March Meeting
At our LEMOC March 3, 2016 meeting Jan Stork from the Make A Wish Foundation will be our guest speaker.
Can-Am 2016
Plan are coming together for the 2016 Can-Am which is being hosted this year by our club. Registration for the
Can-Am will available after the Feb. 2016 meeting.
Host hotel is the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center on W. 8th St. In Erie. Room rate is $99.99 for 2 people
plus 13% tax.
Some of the activities planned for this event are:
Fri night - Sunset Cruise on the Lady Kate which sails from the Perry Monument on Presque Isle.
Sat. - Painting of a keepsake tile event at Claytopia, lunch and tour of the TREC. (Tom Ridge Environmental
Center) and dinner and hayride at Burch's Farm and Winery in North East, Pa.
Sun. -Tour of the Coast Guard Station on Presque Isle and finish off with a picnic lunch on Presque Isle.
Registration fee is still in the negotiation process and should be finalized by our meeting in Feb.

Pay It Forward
I am sure everyone has heard of the Pay It Forward movement across the U.S. Here in Erie one local car
dealership-Lakeside Auto has taken it to new level by donating $300.00 every week since 2015 to an individual
who can solve the clues as to where his Pay It Forward Truck is to be found. If the truck is found the individual
who found the truck has one hour to donate the $300.00 to either an individual or group that is in need of the
money. On one such very snowy Wed. in Erie, LEMOC club members Joy and Dennis Webber found the Pay It
Forward truck at the Erie International Airport. They donated the $300.00 to the WLD Ranch in Fairview. Good
job Joy and Dennis!

LEMOC would like to extend its condolences to Starr Kennedy on the passing of her husband recently. The
Starrs were frequent attendees at our car shows with their 73 convertible and 68 ½ CJ.
