MEMBERS IN THE NEWS IN MARCH
The City of Maysville has been chosen to represent the Certified Local Government program
in Kentucky. The program is designed to help
save the unique historic character of communities.
Mason County Middle School has given their
students an opportunity to learn about health
and wellness. The booths that were set up in the
gymnasium concentrated on exercise, healthy
activities, bullying, and nutrition. Each student
visited each booth and received vital information they can use in the future.
For the second consecutive year, The City of
Maysville has been awarded and named a Top
Micropolitan community. This award recognizes the achievements of communities across
the Commonwealth with the most industry activity in 2015.
RIBBON CUTTING
The Maysville Chamber is proud to have been a
part of the Ribbon Cutting for the AES Center
for Career Development and Experiential
Learning at Maysville Community and Technical
College on March 14th.
Two St. Patrick School students were winners
of the 2015 Jim Claypool Art and Writing
Award. The theme for the contest was “The
WildSide of Kentucky” and focused on wildlife
in Kentucky. CONGRATULATIONS!
Craftforce has been chosen as a bronze winner
by the 37th Annual Telly Awards for their piece
entitled “Innovations: America’s Workforce”.
Winners of this award represent the best work
of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments in the
world. CONGRATULATIONS!
International Paper’s Maysville Mill achieved
a safety milestone by working an entire year
without an Occupational Safety and Health Administration recordable incident.
The Kentucky Gateway Museum Center was
presented with its newest addition, a miniature
C&O/Pullman “City of Maysville” train car.
