While these rumours remain unconfirmed, they do seem
quite logical. After all, departing Ferrari chairman Luca di
Montezemolo recently said that the model will feature a
color scheme incorporating blue with white racing stripes
as an acknowledgement of the North American Racing

The special model is penciled in for a debut on October
12th which is just one day before Montezemolo will step
down and make way for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles CEO
Sergio Marchionne as the new Ferrari chairman.

Luca Di Montezemolo’s 5 Greatest
Moments and 5 Greatest Cars at Ferrari
We will forever be in love with the Ferrari F40. From its
blunt-force appearance to its 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged
V8 engine living and breathing perilously close to the
driver's head, the F40, the last model designed and built
with input from Enzo Ferrari himself, has been and likely
always will be the Ferrari of Ferraris for automotive
enthusiasts who grew up in the 1980s.
All of this raises an interesting question: is the Ferrari
F40 the best supercar of all time? A case can certainly
be made, and after watching – and, just as importantly,
listening to – all 17 minutes of blood-red Italian glory
from Xcar, you're going to have to try long and hard to

Luca di Montezemolo has become a legend in the
automotive industry. He was the man that helped lead
a failing Ferrari into record profits, unsurpassed
sales, and record-setting Formula One
performances. Now after 23 years as the president of
the Prancing Horse brand, Luca is stepping down next
month. Thanks to differences between him and Sergio
Marchionne, the head of Ferrari parent company Fiat,
Luca has decided that his time with the Italian
automaker needs to come to an end.
To celebrate what he has accomplished, I have
compiled a small list of some of the memorable things
that happened to the company while he was at the
helm, as well as looking at five of the greatest cars
that Ferrari produced during his tenure.
Feel free to comment with your thoughts on his leaving
the company, your favorite Ferrari from the
Montezemolo era, as well as your favorite Ferrari
memories and moments. Let’s send this great man off
with a celebration of what he has accomplished.

Luca’s last great moment in Ferrari history started in

supercar domination, Luca makes that decision that
Ferrari needs to start limiting its production to save the
brand’s exclusive nature. In 1999 Ferrari sold 3,775
cars. By 2012, that number had nearly doubled to 7,318.
Luca saw this is a recipe for disaster as the unique and
exclusive nature of the Ferrari badge was being watered
down by market saturation. To combat this, Luca
declared that Ferarri would begin capping yearly
production to just 7,000 units.
It may not be the prettiest, the fastest, or the most

Most of all, though, Meade was an adventurer, a man

recognize.
His early years were picturesque. Meade’s father, a
professional wrestler, died while his mother was still

powerful drop-top production model ever. That is thanks
to the same 4.5-liter V8 from the hardtop Speciale, with
597 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque.
The aluminum-retracting top doesn't change
performance much, while letting the wind blow through
the owner's hair at ludicrous speeds. Ferrari claims the
setup adds about 110 pounds (50 kilograms) to the
overall weight and can open or close within 14 seconds.
Acceleration to 62 miles per hour is reported at 3.0
seconds, about a tenth slower than the coupe, and the
Aperta can hustle to 124 mph in 9.5 seconds.

especially on early mornings, is simple condensation.
Overnight the exhaust system's metal cools down to
the ambient temperature. When you start your car, it
rapidly becomes much hotter than the air surrounding
it. The result is condensation forming around and
inside of the exhaust system and tail pipe. This liquid
is then pushed out with the exhaust and gives the
appearance that your car is leaking water.

Le Mans) is a sports car endurance race held annually
at Road Atlanta in Braselton, Georgia, USA. It uses
the rules established for the 24 hours of Le Mans by
the Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO), which are
slightly modified if necessary, mainly to allow
additional cars to compete.
The race was founded by Road Atlanta owner Don
Panoz and first run on October 10, 1998 as part of the
IMSA season. The 1999 edition was one of the original
events of the American Le Mans Series. This year will
mark the 2nd Annual Intercontinental Le Mans Cup,
