The story behind El Arepazo
El Arepazo is Spanish for “The Big Arepa” and
Carlos Gutierrez and Eliezer Molina thought up the
idea for an authentic Latin American Restaurant after
experiencing success at the “Festival Latino” where
they sold their hand made arepas - the grilled corn
flour discs are a staple in their native Venezuela.
Arepas are still hand made on the premises – as is all
the food served at El Arepazo. “Good food takes
time to prepare,” says Señor Molina proudly. “We
wanted to be different,” adds Señor Gutierrez, “our
chicken, beef and pork are slow cooked and
shredded by hand. Nothing is frozen – all our food is

freshly prepared – from the meat to the beans.” It’s a
difference you’ll notice the first time you try any of
the dishes served at El Arepazo. Also be sure to try
