THE GROWING COMPANY
We have a new landscape company that is working with us to improve all our common areas and
enhance the beauty of our park, pool, parking areas. They are currently focused on a general
clean up, by clearing out old dead bushes and plants in the pool area and trimming throughout the
park and cleaning up along Truxel. Overall improvement is showing already. Long range projects
for all our common property are in place and we believe members will be happy with the results.
The service day is every FRIDAY, so please keep this in mind if you plan on a private party in the pool area. The work should
usually be complete inside the pool gates around noon, unless there is substantial work that cannot wait. Thanks for your cooperation!

The 4th Annual River City Commons Celebration
on July 28, “Party in the Park", was a great success and
everyone had a wonderful time! The music was great, the
drinks were plentiful and the kids especially loved the cotton
candy! Our thanks goes out to Doreen Lopez and everyone
else that helped for all the hard work put into making this
event so special.
Sacramentans Reminded that New Watering Rules Go Into Effect
with Time Change
Residents and Businesses may irrigate properties three days a week based on address under
City’s Irrigation Ordinance
When clocks are turned forward on Saturday night, the City of Sacramento Department of
Utilities reminds residents and businesses to change their irrigation schedules as well. The
City’s current irrigation rules, found in the Water Conservation ordinance state that at the
beginning of daylight savings time, residents and businesses may water up to three days a
week, based on their address.
Addresses ending in odd numbers may water on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday only and even-numbered addresses may water on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. There is no watering allowed on Mondays. Watering of landscapes must be completed
before 10 a.m. or after 7 p.m.
“While the ordinance allows customers to water their yards up to three days a week, we remind customers to continue to water
with the weather. Do not water when it is raining and remember not to over-water and limit run-off from your property,” Interim
Utilities Director Dave Brent reminded Sacramento water customers. “This will help ensure that water is available for our region
during the hottest and driest months to come.”
Customers can call 3-1-1 or (916) 264-5011 to request a free Water Wise House call to help find ways to conserve water around
their home and yard or to anonymously report water waste in their neighborhood.

Helping Hands
In July a group of residents gave a helping hand to one in our community who needed help with maintaining his yard. With a little muscle they were able to provide him with the assistance in a couple of
hours. Thanks to those who stepped up and were an example of what it means to be a community!
A special thanks to Denise, Doreen, Nancy, Tim, Greg and Michael who gave up part of
their Saturday to help a neighbor in need. It was greatly appreciated.
