CLARESHOLM SKATING CLUB
SKATE - A - THON
Join us Friday, November 21
from 5 - 7 p.m.
Pledge forms are now available
and will be handed out starting
this week. We encourage all
family members to participate,
make challenges and have fun
while helping to raise money for
our club.
Skaters, parents, family members
can take “Challenge Cards” to be
given out to their friends, coworkers, neighbours and family to join our event.
Skaters who are not registered members of our club are requested to
pay a minimum $10 Skate-a-thon participation fee, which will be their
donation to our club.
Start making challenges and get as many people out to participate as
possible!
There will be a 50/50 draw, plus refreshments will be served.
Parent volunteers are needed as lap counters and timers.

If you are unable to play music on the day scheduled, it is your

Cards ready for purchasing and
selling in November. They are $20

PROGRAMS & SCHEDULES
STARSKATE
We encourage STARSkaters to
practise as much as possible.
Practice will improve skating skills.
Take advantage of all of the ice time
we have booked. Each skater has a
duo tang with a checklist of skills to
practise.
Anyone wanting to book private
lessons must contact the coaches
directly, there is still space for
additional lessons.
Stavely Figure Skating Club skates
on Saturday mornings. Our skaters
are welcome to join, at a drop-in
fee of $12/hour. Kristin Raychert is
accepting private lessons for this
time slot as well, contact Kristin if
you are interested, 403-612-4351 or

NEW SCHEDULE:
WEDNESDAY
5:15 -6:45 Primary Group, with
stroking, private lessons and group
lessons.
6:45 - 8:15 Intermediate Group, with
stroking, private lessons and group
lessons.
FRIDAY
3 - 5:00 All STARSkaters - Private
lessons, stroking and group
lessons. There will be no snack
break for skaters. They are allowed
bathroom breaks, and drink breaks,
but should be on the ice at all times.
PAs scheduled to help will be
allowed a 15 minute break from
4:45 - 5, before CanSkate set-up.
SUNDAY
4:30-5:15 - Dry land training
5:30 - 7:30 - Privates, Stroking & a 1
hour Group Lessons.
All STARSKaters are welcome
during any of these time to use the
ice for practice.
CLUB PA TRAINING SESSION
PA Training will take place the first
Sunday of each Month, off ice at 3:30,
on ice at 4:30.
Next date: Sunday, November 2.
Tiny Tot Helpers do no need to attend.
THERE WILL BE NO DRY LAND
TRAINING ON PA TRAINING DAY!
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
The Club needs members to join
the Carnival Committee!
Volunteering is a rewarding
experience and the carnival
committee is very valuable to the
success of our club. The Carnival
is tentatively scheduled for
March 14.
We would really appreciate it if
you would join our team! Talk to
anyone on the Executive
Committee for more information.
SKATER OF THE
MONTH AWARDS
Skate Canada: AlbertaNWT/Nunavut and Duso’s are
pleased to announce the Skater of the
Month Award. Duso’s is proud to
present $100 to each award recipient.
Recipients will also receive
recognition on the Section website
and at the Section Awards Banquet.
