Call to Worship
* Hymn # 102
Now Thank We All Our God
Prayer of Confession (unison): O God: we have doubted the power of your
love to conquer hatred; resisted the promptings of your Spirit to do works
of love; heeded the wrong voices and followed too much the devices and
desires of our own wills. We are sorry for these and all our sins. We seek
your forgiveness; cleanse us, fill us with your Holy Spirit, and restore us
to the joy of your salvation; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

The Lord’s Prayer
(Hymnal, no. 895)
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come;
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily
bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass
against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For
thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Message
“SAVED BY GOD’S GRACE”
Rev. Charles Walker
* Affirmation of Faith
(The Apostles’ Creed; Hymnal, no. 881)
I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord:
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried;
the third day he rose from the dead;
He ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand
of God the Father Almighty;
From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church,
the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

PRAISE MUSIC LYRICS
Above All
Above all powers
Above all kings
Above all nature
And all created things
Above all wisdom
And all the ways of man
You were here
Before the world began
Chorus
Crucified. Laid behind a stone
You lived to die. Rejected and alone
Like a rose
Trampled on the ground
You took the fall
And thought of me. Above all
Awesome In This Place
As I come into Your presence
Past the gates of praise
Into Your sanctuary
Til we’re standing face to face
I look upon You’re countenance
I see the fullness of Your grace
Above all kingdoms
Above all thrones
Above all wonders
The world has ever known
Above all wealth
And treasures of the earth
There's no way to measure
What You're worth
Chorus
I can only bow down and say
You are awesome in this place, Mighty God
You are awesome in this place, Abba Father
You are worthy of our praise,
To You our lives will raise
You are awesome in this place, Mighty God
Blessed Be Your Name
Blessed Be Your Name, In the land that is plentiful
Where Your streams of abundance flow,
Blessed be Your name, blessed be Your name,
When I'm found in the desert place
Though I walk through the wilderness,
Blessed Be Your name
Chorus
Every blessing You pour out, I'll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord,
Still I will say blessed be the name of the Lord,
Blessed be Your name, blessed be the name of the Lord,
Blessed be Your glorious name
Blessed be Your name, when the sun's shining down on me
When the world's 'all as it should be', Blessed be Your name
Blessed be Your name, on the road marked with suffering
Though there's pain in the offering, Blessed be Your name
Chorus
You give and take away, You give and take away
My heart will choose to say, Lord, blessed be Your name
Chorus

Our stewardship, our giving, is a reflective response to God’s grace in our
lives. Giving is a response of the heart which allows us to do God’s work here
on earth, in gratitude for all He has done for us. Giving also allows WUMC
to sustain our beautiful worship surroundings and the plethora of Christcentered activities which take place here. As members of WUMC, we promise
to support God’s work in Wayne through our attendance, our time and our
offerings. Following is a snapshot of our weekly numbers toward that end:
