How did it all begin?
One child, one crayon, and a drawing on a bright sunshiny day in 2000, and Daisy Rock was born.
There are moments in your life you will always remember, some of them dealing with life and death,
some of them seem like there really isn’t any reason to flash on them, except that they are frozen in your memory.
The day my daughter Nicole made that drawing, it was like any other day. She was the cutest 1 year old,
and her favorite thing to draw was daisies. Except on that one particular day…
I was enjoying her being a child not like so many other days when it feels like you are just trying to keep up…
I was thoroughly enjoying her drawing and her curious discovery of crayon to paper, at the same time
being very pregnant with my 2nd daughter Sophia. Maybe it was hormones, maybe it was the way the planets lined up,
but Daisy Rock was born. She drew a daisy, I turned it into a guitar, and my motherly, protective, musician self
decided, in that frozen moment, to create a better experience for her in the music industry.
Maybe one day she could walk into a music store and feel like she was welcome to be part of this “club,”
this culture, this awesome community. A community that I never felt welcomed in and could only
dream about how it could be while being a musician in the ‘80s and ‘90s. And that was ten years ago today.
10 years. a
girl guitar and a passion that began a movement.
A pioneer. A trailblazer. A Girl Guitar company? Never heard of before in the industry. Why?
I didn’t know, I just wanted to try and inspire every single female to pick up a guitar or bass and play music.
Make it matter, make it a part of her life. I wanted every music store to offer something for girls. I wanted to help girls
find their passion, live their dreams, and be part of this crazy thing that we all create… music.
Again, there are moments in your life you will always remember, and those memories are filled with the people
that make such a difference; you just know you couldn’t have done it without them. I could fill this catalog
full of thank you’s to all my awesome friends and wonderful family that watched Daisy Rock shine brighter every day.
My memory will always be eternally grateful in those frozen, humble moments of support.
10 years. Then, pink guitars popped up everywhere like wild weeds in the land of Daisy’s.
Everyone tried it. Everyone embraced it. The guitar industry acknowledged the change,
and the music store dealer gladly accepted a new customer. And the artists believed in the passion
and understood the mission. But the most important recognition through all the media buzz,
the hype, the museum inductions, and the growth?
the
guitars.
Daisy Rock’s have always been really great playing and sounding guitars.
That is where the movement meets the sustain, and the passion
continues to grow, because the guitars are built extremely well,
play fantastic, and sound amazing.

Easier for smaller hands to play, the Daisy Rock
Slim & Narrow neck design features a specially contoured
“C” shape neck with a slimmer back, as well as a narrower
fingerboard width than a standard guitar.
Although Daisy Rock guitars have traditionally been light,
over the last 2 years we’ve done an exhaustive search to find
consistently light, yet sonically pleasing new tonewoods.
