HOW LONG IS A SEASON
The fall season is 8 weeks long beginning the 2nd week of October
and ends the second week of December.
WHATS MY ROLE AS A PARENT
Your role is support your child’s basketball experience as much as
possible. You can do this by doing the following: Attend all practices
and games with your child and be attentive and observant, put the
cell phones and tablets away. Kids grow up fast, so enjoy every
moment of it. Always be positive, praise and recognize effort. Never
yell out commands or discipline your child from the sidelines. Get
involved and help support your child’s team by coordinating a snack
schedule and get to know other parents. This is how kids learn how to
have healthy community relationships.
HOW ARE TEAMS FORMED
Teams are formed once returning players and free agents are
assigned. The teams are based off the following components:
practices times, returning experienced players, and free agents drafts
comprised of novices and intermediate players.
WHEN BRINGING SNACKS/DRINKS
When bringing snacks, please avoid all items made with or around
peanuts and other tree nuts. Communicate with Y staff and parents
of any allergies your child may have. Please avoid any unhealthy
snack/ drink choices at all cost.
WHAT TO EXPECT ON THE FIRST DAY OF PRACTICES/ GAMES
the center of the gym. Y staff will then indicate where each team will
practices and introduce the coach. Coaches will then take roll and
ensure that all players are present.

We will no longer accept any team or friend request. Parents may
