square foot Pridgeon Center is an excellent

The George Bush Presidential Library and Museum
is a state-of-the-art American history museum. The
museum tells the story of the life and times of the 41st

Confederate Reunion Grounds State Historic Site
commemorates a place where Civil War veterans
gathered from 1889 to 1946. Today, in the spirit of
this site’s history, it remains a gathering place for

activities. The site features an 1893 pavilion, a civilwar era cannon and the Navasota River.
At the crossroads of I-45 and Highway 21 lies
Madisonville, Mushroom Capital of Texas. A short
drive from Bryan/College Station, Madisonville
is home to the annual Texas Mushroom Festival,
Madisonville Sidewalk Cattlemen’s Association
events, and the Madison County Fair. Visit the

produces 267 million bricks and 3 million pounds

Groesbeck is a great place for a weekend of history,

MARLIN
In 1892, a gusher blew in Marlin – not of oil but
of hot mineral water. Visitors to the Hot Water
Pavillion downtown, can touch the hot water
pouring from the marble fountain. Across the
